I also had my car towed by Ace Towing and let me say they are a sorry lot in my opinion. I realize they were hired to tow cars from the area of parking lot just next to McDonald's on Capital Blvd, but we did not know this area had been marked as no McDonald's parking. These creeps watched me walk my 84+ year old mother and 3 small grandchildren into McDonald's, then jerked the car out of the parking space. It seems the landlord only wants Kmart or HOPN customers parking there. There were lots of other cars parking there, but I don't know if they towed anyone else that day. (It was a Sunday right after church.) These guys have no idea whether I was going to go to Kmart after going in McDonald's or not. They just took my car which traumatized my mother, myself and scared my grandchildren. I talked to some people and found out that this towing company sits and watches for people who park and go into McDonald's. I was told that it seems they tow mostly people who have children because they know those people are the most desperate to retrieve their vehicles. How much more rotten can you get?
Ruben and his crew are predatory thieves at best and scam artists. They make their living mostly by ripping off honest law-abiding citizens. They make me sick! I plan on getting them plenty of publicity in the near future!
They are predatory towers. The towed my car saying that my tags were expired, when they were in fact up to date. Their sinage also didn't reflect it. I'm having to file a small claims case.
Ruben has always done a fantastic job!. He genuinely loves what he dose for a living and that is what makes this towing company a pleasure to work with.
Good experience with Ace Towing! I was in town for a visit and broke down. I didn't know where to have them tow my car but the driver gave me a great recommendation to a local shop for service.
I had a junk car I wanted to get some money for and I found Ace Towing online. They got to my house about an hour after I called and gave me cash for my junk car. All while providing Grade A Service!
The only place for excellent towing in town. The guys were nice considering the crap they have to put up with! They treated me right and I hope people learn from their mistakes.
The Definition of Predatory Towing. These guys towed my car from an apartment complex during hours in which they were explicitly not allowed to, then when I tried to get my car back they insisted I pay and then when I was unhappy with it the owner got in my face, told me I was wrong and tried to square off with me. Another time I was there and went to move my car about 20 minutes before the time came in which they were allowed to tow and their truck was already riding the around the parking lot looking for cars to tow. My beef with them has nothing to do with them towing cars that are parked illegally, it sucks but it's what they're hired to do. What makes this company god awful is the fact the do not shy away from the fact that they are trying to screw people out of $100 at every opportunity and when they are confronted with their own unethical practices act like complete lowlifes (which I am now convinced they are). Avoid this company like the plague, and if you have to park somewhere in which they have a contract.. good luck, they must be trying to get their own reality show or something..
SHADY, SHADY, SHADY!. Just like many, many, many, many (shall I go on) others on this site, we walked outside this morning to see our car gone. Granted, our neighborhood makes it clear they will tow if you are illegally parked, so I get that, BUT some guy named Keith that works for this shi**y company STOLE $250 out of the car. He was clearly the last person in the vehicle. We called the police and there is nothing they can do either - can't prove it was him that took it. Really??? Who in the hell does business like this!? First of all, you're pissing people off by taking their car when they simply can't find a parking space in their neighborhood because there are only 6 visitor spots for 30 townhomes, THEN you go and STEAL from them!! GET A LIFE! Stop being shady. Oh yea, and guy/owner that made a comment below trying to state they do fair business and what not - LIAR. We called to speak to him about this and all he could say was "Keith has worked for me for 3 years, I know he wouldn't steal". Uh huh, then why is $250 gone!?Horrible, horrible, shady company. Unfortuantley, I had to give one star but they don't even deserve that.
The Holiday Good Guys.
A Christmas Gift.
When you mention the word Towing a grim ugh! comes to mind. You hear the same universal response from everyone "They were just waiting for me" or "I did'nt see a no parking sign" I myself have given the same response. Having lived in Raleigh on and off for over 15yrs I experienced my first car towing while moving to a new residence. Having overlooked the parking by permit only, I parked my car and took my things upstairs and left for an out of town trip. upon my arrival, I realized my car was not were I parked it. WHERE IS MY CAR? over and over I asked? A resident saw my concern and politely asked ' Do ya have a permit yet? Frustrated I replied not yet and was in a hurry when I left. He replied Well, you got towed! Wonderful I replied in a sarcastic tone. This is just what I need during the holidays and with limited funds. I then read the signage out front that clearly states the parking policy. I then called Ace towing to get my total and was floored by the amount. I explained to the lady what happened and was there anything that she could do to help me out? I admitted that the driver was doing his job and I'm not mad at anyone except myself. If there is nothing that can be done I understand but it would really help I replied. She put me on hold and returned with a question "When can you pick up the car?" I told her today if possible but that depends on the cost? She replied come get it today and it will only cost the towing fee. I could'nt believe what I was hearing, I repeated what she said and she replied that's right. I could feel a lump in my throat and the water in my eyes starting to swell, I cant believe it I replied, she said Merry Christmas! This truly was a gift because the storage fee was twice the towing fee. I can't thank them enough for their kindness and generosity. Let this be a reminder to all that "Everyone is not out for the $$$ and their are still genuine people that care for their fellow man"
