Salon 21. I have fine/limp hair and I typically do not write reviews. I have historically moved from salon to salon seeking someone who could give me good advice and make my hair something it is not naturally. I called Salon 21 and was scheduled to meet with Talia. I went there a week ago, wow. The atmosphere was great and the staff was very warm. They made me feel welcome. Talia was great. I am not a hair expert, I just knew I was looking for something that worked and I was not sure what that looked like. Talia gave great advice and we just went for it, with my permission of course. Although I would have never went there without her advice. She wanted me to feel comfortable but her suggestions were comfortable. She listened to me. We went to a medium cut and she gave my hair volume and dimension. The cut is great - the color is great. I am naturally dark blonde and no one (except Talia) to date has suggested giving me a light cool blonde to highlight my natural. I said "go for it" and the results are awesome. I have received so many compliments on the cut and the color. My hair has dimension and volume. She did exactly what I needed, she had a vision--- and she was right! I am going back in 10 weeks and will recommend her to anyone. Thank you Talia!

Best haircut I've ever had!. I work downtown and went to Salon 21 for convenience...received my best haircut ever! The stylist was Suphee. The price was pretty reasonable, especially considering what barebone barbers around here charge.

Awesome!. I went there after purchasing a living social deal for salon 21 ($20 for a haircut that’s worth $50+) and I was really afraid that since it was a “deal” they would rush or not really listen to what I wanted, etc. But I was pleasantly surprised. I arrived there on time, and was immediately greeted by my hairstylist, who although seemed like she was young and nervous, was very professional. The shampoo/conditioner treatment was really relaxing and long. I explained what I wanted; she listened to me and made some recommendations. At that point, I was still really afraid that I’d been placed with the new kid because I had a coupon. But she did a fantastic job and it looked really great. She spent a lot of time on my hair and was very attentive to what I’d told her. The place is also really pretty, well-lit with a lot of windows and hardwood floors. My boyfriend went there too, with a living social deal, and his hair has never looked better (and he’s used to paying $60+ for haircuts). We are both hooked for life and Salon 21 is now our salon of choice.

Not all that. It's a shame that sometimes the 1st appt is the best, but downhill after that. Salon 21 is overrated; haircuts are overpriced. I have long wavy hair that I'm growing down to the middle of my back, so I go only for "dusting" trims to whisk off split ends, but asking me to pay $55+ to "dust off" my ends is a no-go. That is ridiculous--It's NOT a cut, it's a trim. I'm taking my service elsewhere. Rip someone else off.

Salon 21 Save Me!!!!!. I went to Salon 21 becaue I had gotten a terrible dye job at another salon! I had wanted my hair dyed brown, but ended up with inky black gothic hair! Yikes! I booked an appointment with Manuel, and I left the salon with hair pretty close to my natural color! Manuel did a great job and was very attentive to what I wanted. I was impressed with everyone at the salon. Everyone was eager to offer advice on how to fix my problem!

5 stars for Cameron, best stylist hands down!!!. I moved from Charlotte, NC two years ago and was looking for a stylist in Raleigh. I tried a few other salons that I will not name, but was not happy. I found Salon 21 through Citysearch and chose them because they carried products I used. Cameron was the stylist assigned to me. I gave her a general description of what I wanted and she nailed it! The cut and style were perfect and she is so friendly. I of course returned to get my hair colored, she offered professional advice and suggestions but always listened to what I wanted. The result was fabulous. Cameron goes out of her way to please you with very reasonable prices. Now my whole family goes to Salon 21 including my mother who drives 2 1/2 hours to see her. Salon 21 is full of wonderful people who are always friendly and professional. The Salon is very relaxing and tastefully decorated in a beautiful part of the city. Go see Cameron today, you won't be disappointed!!!

I LLLLLLLLOVE MANUEL!!!!. I had bleached, burnt, stressed hair and a BAD, BAD haircut! I called Manuel, and explained to him my dilemma and desires. He eased my nerves and made me feel comfortable in his chair. He foiled my highlights VERY fast - might I add, we talked and chatted (he has a great personality) and before I knew it "VIOLA!" it was time to process! He even threw in a free conditioning treatment, because he had to cut another client for a few minutes. This is what I call REALLY caring about your clients! At the end of it all, I walked out of that salon THRILLED with my new look! The color was even better than I'd imagined, the cut was AWESOME and my hair felt the best it has in years, thanks to the treatment! Bottom line - I L-O-V-E this salon, and Manuel has a client for life!! Did I mention that it was reasonably priced????? YEP!! GO SEE MANUEL...YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!!!

Best stylist EVER!. When I came to Salon 21 I needed a change for my hair but didn't know exactly what. Cameron gave me a great new cut and fabulous highlights without me having to describe to her exactly what I wanted. I just gave her some ideas of what I did and didn't like and she took it from there. For over a year now I've been going to Cameron and have never been anything but thrilled with the results. Cameron is by far the best hair stylist I've ever had!

Great location. I have enjoyed working with Natalie in the past, as she understood my hair better than anyone. She is no longer working there and they will not tell me where she went. Does anyone know what salon Natalie is working at now?

Finally somebody that listens!!!!!!!. Finally somebody that listens!!!!

I have been searching for a stylist for years and I finally found her. My friend recommended Talia at Salon 21 to me. I went and saw and for the first time in years I walked out of a salon happy!!!!:)
