UNSAFE BRAKE WORK. I recently was recommended by Carolina Ford to take my RV unit to Universal Tire for brake work. After dropping the unit off Universal called me to inform me that I needed rotors on the rear. Pads on the front.. They did the work. The bill was $888. I drove less then 5 miles and the front wheels were hot and smoking. I pulled over and called Universal. They did not offer to come and look or to tow me back. Instead they told me to limp back and they would look at the front tires. I had my 3 yr. old grand daughter with me and the RV carries propane. The front wheels were too hot to touch and smoke was coming from them. I called my daughter and had her follow me as I "limped" back to Universal. Initial inspection showed that the right front wheel was "locked" and I had observed smoke from the left wheel. I have left the unit there and will advise how Universal resolves this issue. The RV unit was totally unsafe and unfit to drive when I left Universal.
Friendly and Honest. I ended up there by accident and won't hesitate to return. I found them to be honest and helpful and they had better prices than area competitors.
Honest and Fiendly. Ask for Ray or Brit, Honest, friendly and go a great job. If you like someone to shake your hand and look you in the eye when selling you a set of tires, these are the guys. Thanks, Bob
