I agree - these people are snakes. – When I moved to Raleigh, my telephone number belonged to someone who had debt problems. These yahoos keep calling my number (seven months now) asking for the person with the bad debts. They will not stop calling. Nasty people in a nasty business.
Phoebe is wonderful. – I was incredibly lucky that I got to speak with Phoebe when I called in. She was the first person who actually listened to me and understood that while I did have a few co-pays to make, there were over eight thousand dollars of charges that were not actually mine. She spoke with Wake Med directly to help me rectify the situation and even made sure I understood how to send the discharge letter in to all three credit bureaus because if I send it in as the consumer, they have only 14 days to remove it from my file under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. I'm so thankful for her help!
Theives – Poor customer service. I paid for the accounts that I had with them. They've only given me credit for one account. The checks cleared my bank on the 5/13/08, $100, $83, $50, and I have not received credit for it yet. MS. BULTER claims that Absolute Collections Services doesn't have my money. But the checks were written to Absolute Collections, remitted via USPS addressed to Absolute Collections, mailed to NC, all three checks for all three accounts were put in the same evelope. All three of the checks in the evelope were cashed but only one was credited to me. I've been going back and forth speaking with a number of associates, Justin, Brillian, Mercedes, Wade or Wayne, plus two others, and MS. BUTLER, who seems be very upset with me for some reason. She said that I lied to my bank. I told my bank that I have had funds cashed from my account without the benefit of credit for the transaction. MS. BUTLER will not take my phone calls now because I have brought my bank in on this scan they are pulling. I wouldn't be suprised if she didn't cash the checks herself. The bottomline is I am a single parent and all the money that I have I worked for. I had my credit pulled and started trying to pick the bad credit off one by one. I have not had a problem in my quest for better credit until now. Absolute Collection Services has been a nightmare to deal with and now to have one of the associates unreasonably mad at you for money that they have stolen from me. They have asked for proof of the payments, I did that on 2 separate ocassions and in 2 different formats. According to MS. BUTLER there is still not enough evidence. They owe me $150.00.
Poor customer service – Evidentally the cell phone number I aquired last fall was previously used by someone with a credit problem. I have received numerous messages on my cell phone voice mail for a person unknown to me to call customer service at this collection business. I have responded to these calls telling the customer service person that I am not the person they are looking for and to remove my cell phone number from their records. Each time I call them, they tell me they will correct their records; however, I am still getting calls and this disturbs me since each time they call and leave a message, minutes are used and deducted from my phone account which I have to pay for.
