Brunch was great AND family friendly.. I took my three children here for Sunday Brunch and we all had a really good meal, excellent omelets- and we even had a good time (which is not always easy with THREE children!!).

The staff was very friendly.

The food was YUMMY - with some off beat bunch items, for variety- and some excellent old standbys like omelets and waffles.

It was also VERY affordable.

This is the only Pub I would take my kids to- and they always enjoy it.

Great Place to Grab a Drink. My husband and I were walking around downtown looking for a place to grab a drink. We are in our 30's and no longer like going to clubs. We heard about Tir Na Nog's so we decided to try it out. I am glad we did. We had a couple of beers and had a great time. Bartenders were nice and the environment was excellent. Large selection of beers on tap. I will be back.

Best Bet for FUN night out. For people looking for authentic Irish food and entertainment , you would think it would be hard to find in the triangle . Not so, After trying every Irish restaurant in Chapel Hill/Durham/Carrboro area and a couple in Raleigh, this is where I go to get my fix when I'm feeling nostalgic for home. Tir Na nOg hands down winner for great food, entertainment and service.

Worst experience ever!. Let's preface this complaint with I am Irish and know Irish bars/restaurants can be medicre at best.

This was horrific not just because of the food but the service was even worse!

To run through the night...

We were seated outside and ignored for 20 minutes. When returning inside to beg for service the "hostess" told me "Oh - he hasn't come out yet? Ha ha...He must be looking at his bike out back"...not oh my gosh let me run and get someone to you immediately...etc. etc.

Next: Husband ordered diet soda and received full strentgh coke...

Next; I ordered corn beef sandwich (Rueben) with out the french dressing and got it with the dressing. Next: Husand ordered cornbeef and cabbage that looked like a 12 year old made it using starchy and tasteless potatoes, watery cabbage and deli meet corn beef. Next; He needed salt to add an ounce of flavor but again it was forgotten about by our oh so incompetent waiter.

Worst yet? My "new" corn beef sandwich came to me for the second time cold (it is supposed to be served hot and grilled) and disgusting! I would not have served something that looked like that to my worst enemy. We left immediately.

If i were anyone affiliated with the place I would be embarassed - if I were the chef - I'd start to look for a new profession.

We will never ever recommend this to anyone, obviously never go back and encourage all our friends to stay clear.

Probably the best burger I've ever eaten. My husband and I look our children to Marbles Kids Museum for the day (which is great for all you parents out there). Afterwards we were looking for a place to grab a bite to eat and rest the feet for a bit.

I must say at first I wasn't sure about taking the kids to an Irish pub but I guess that's why you don't judge a book by its cover. After walking into the pub, very clean, it immediately felt comfortable. It has a mismatched feel with different antique tables and chairs all over the place.

I was impressed that they had a kids menu (vegetables as a side was an option!). So far it was beating expectation, the menu was pretty creative and found it very difficult to choose one item. My husband and I decided to split our dishes so we could try a couple of things. He ordered a burger with pimento cheese and onions rings and I ordered the shiitake sliders which came highly suggested from our waitress. Both were amazing!! The burger, almost as big as my purse was absolutely delicious! The shiitakes were very good as well! What a day! Thank you Marbles and thank you Tir na nOg for a great time, we will be back to back again soon.

Fruit-flies ate more of my food than I did.. My husband and I took my two year old with us for lunch at Tir Na Nog. We sat inside. There were fruit-flies swarming our food and my husband's beer. If we stopped waving our hands for even a minute, the fruit-flies would take over our whole table, making it look like a heaping garbage bin on a hot day. The fries were dark brown, wet, mushy, and limp. My black eyed-pea burger was so mushy it was like a black-eyed soup burger. The flavor was not at all redeeming. When I told the waitress about the fruit flies--a problem, I'm sure she was already fully aware of, but ignoring--she said, "Yeah, I don't know why they're so bad today," and then that was it. No apologies. No promises to take care of the problem before the next victims/customers arrived. There were also a bunch of fruit-flies in the bathroom. I felt nauseated to say the least.

tir na nog. Yeah it was hot and a lot of folks were downtown which has it's on parking in/out issues doesn't help.

But you find a pub and become invisible.............not cool. Once a tendar finally appears, there was apparent issue with going to the front end of the bar...maybe a union thing or somethig like lazy or unconcerned. I'm sure there was plenty of business on the sides, just no seating.

Even the Lady being served pointed out we're there for a while; the dude said: "All in Due T ime". TIME BECAME DUE AND WE LEFT FEELING INSULTED.,

Ended up going to NAPPER TANDY which I think has a much greater atmosphere and better food. Guess what, they actually had personable staff.

I'm normally a patient 'CUSTOMER!' But this rude dude made the experience BAD.

I'll see ya' all 'IN DUE TIME' which means NEVER!

Awesome wedding reception location. Where else could you have an Irish wedding reception? Complete with bag pipers, great food, romance, fun, surprises and craziness too. Annie Nice is the best event coordinator ever, and makes your day so very special. Let's do it EVERY year !!!!!!

Wonderful Corned Beef and Cabbage. A Local band that I like plays this Pub and I have been a few times. . Admittedly I was not impressed the first time with the food or service.

My most recent visit was FAR better than previous visits. I have to say that the Corned Beef and Cabbage is one of the best meals I have eaten in a long time.

I am not too impressed with the price, but I think it is reasonable for a bigger city business.

Overall, I recommend giving this Pub a try,
