ellenwei is a dumb-dumb. the El Rodeo
on Blount St is not only my favorite El Rodeo in Raleigh, but it's my favorite mexican place of all time. And I seek Mexican restaurants every where I go, so I know.

Good, Cheap Mexican Food--nothing fancy.
Good atmosphere--pretty Mexican murals on the walls. This location is a lot bigger than the one on Hillsborough Street, and there's actually a separation between smoking and non-smoking sections (unlike the one on Hillsborough Street). You can't go wrong with the enchiladas, and the entree Tiras de Pollo is really delicious! Friendly waitstaff...Drink a Margarita!

Reasonably priced, great food, friendly staff..
I don't know which El Rodeo location the above reviewer went to, but my wife and I have been to the one on Blount St. many times, and have never had anything but a fabulous meal. Great prices, large fantastic reasonably priced margharitas, and a friendly efficient staff, make this place a must visit!

Really, really bad fake Mexican.
The food came quickly, but it tasted days old. Even by Americanized Mexican standards, this was tasteless and rubbery. One of the worst meals I've had since moving to the Triangle three years ago. Avoid at all costs.
