best in town. Best food on Town. My kids love it, they have trains set up in the window with all different kinds of horns. The food is excellent and it won't put a whole in your pocket. Saturday mornings for the best breakfast in town!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Triangle's Best Mom & Pop. While fastfood and chain restaurants are a dime a dozen in North Raleigh & Wake Forest, very few are your cozy little “mom and pop” style restaurants. The Border restaurant is family owned and operated. From the moment you walk through the door they are there to greet you, take your order, cook, and serve your food to you. Prices are too good to be true for the portions you receive. Love the "Mountain Man" for breakfast. Lunch specials throughout the week is why this is my favorite place.
GOOD FOOD!. Simple mom and pop restaurant. The food is really really cheap. You definitely get more for your buck. I love the Country Fried Steak (YUMMY). Great place to come to when you have no plans for breakfast. I will always pay them a visit.
Down home mom and pops restaurant. I travel a lot and always look for the established mom and pops type of restaurants, which seem to be disappearing. While in Wake Forest, I stopped at The Border Restaurant and found some REAL stick to the ribs home cooking at old fashioned prices. I will definitely return frequently. GREAT PLACE!!
real home cookin at reasonable prices. best home cookin i've ever had at unbelievable low prices restaurant has been there for 65 years
Cockroaches. Went here for some chow one morning to find cockroaches running around on the wall. When i asked the waitress about them, she just shrugged. never got to taste the food, just left.
Great Food. I eat breakfast here some Saturdays and have always found the food to be outstanding and the wait-staff friendly and eager to please. The prices are a great bargain, and they even give my father a veteran’s discount on top of that. The atmosphere is reminiscing of times gone by, and I always meet interesting people there. The only drawback is the ‘do not park here’ signs that the adjoining business have posted every six-inches along the store front, so you might have to park across the street and walk over…. The walk will do you good though with the generous portions that you’ll have at the Border.
