In Short – As the only factory outlet mall in the Triangle, Prime Outlets could be quite a hit if it were closer to the residential areas of Raleigh or Durham. Instead, the mall sits in the heart of the airport area and is more convenient for an RTP lunch-break pitstop than for Saturday morning shopping sprees. The good news, however, is that this mall remains a shopper's best secret: It's less crowded, offers a wonderfully open floor plan and even has unique hardwood floors.

Don't Waste Your Time

by uncgirl06 at Citysearch

I used to love coming to this mall because of the Nine West Outlet. I love their shoes and they always have a sale. Lately, the store has been closing before the posted close time (8:00pm).

Tonight I gave the mall one last chance. I got there at 7:15pm and found some shoes to buy. I realized I left my wallet at home. I raced home to get it because I wanted to wear the shoes tonight. I informed the woman I would be coming back and I verified that the store closed at 8:00pm. I got back to the mall at 5 minutes to 8:00pm and I ran to the store. She was already counting the money and she got another store member to tell me (rudely) that the store closes at 8:00pm. I told her that I put two items on hold and I just needed to pay for them. She said no because they close at 8:00pm. I look at my phone and say, but it is only 7:58 right now. She says the register is closed so I can't buy the shoes. Two other women were standing outside the store complaining because the store closed early and they didn't get their shoes either.

What kind of store doesn't let someone in to pay $90 for merchandise? Why does this mall allow stores to close before the posted time? It is no wonder that there are barely any stores in the entire mall, because they are so bad at customer service. Another time that I came to the mall, many of the stores were closed 45 minutes early.

They think, the mall is dead, so let's close. I think, I'm not going back to that mall ever because the stores are never open. I have told many friends, don't bother going there, because you never know if they will actually be open!

Carter's is great

by sushigirlfriend at Citysearch

I love shopping at Carter's and manage to get there but it was really frustrating trying to find the right number for the mall or the store. All the other malls list everything on a website and I can't ever find anything for here. But if you can find it and figure out when it's open Carter's alone is worth going to for the effort.

  • Pros: Carter's
  • Cons: hours open, no numbers listed on line that is right

Quick in and out shopping. Not crowded with teens. Great to met friends for lunch at (food court). The addition of Carter's Childrens Store was a great coo. Tanner is an awesome store for the classic dresser.

  • Pros: good parking, prices
  • Cons: variety
