Don't judge the clothes by the building !. I have often been discouraged from stopping in Rowe's because of the ugly building and strip mall nearby. I should have visited months ago. When I needed a suit for an upcoming business meeting, I did what every man does: procrastinate. Knowing that other stores are expensive and have not, in my experience, been able to alter a suit on short notice, I decided to try Rowe's.

No, it is not Barney's in NY or Nordstrom's or Sym's or...you get the idea. It is Rowe's in Louisburg, NC and it is very good. On my first visit, I was nicely greeted and attended while I selected a suit in my larger size. ( Too much NY pizza ...I'm a recent transplant) They carry suits in regular and large to Very, very large sizes along with shirts, ties, socks etc....They also have a reasonably good sized selection of casual shirts ( even have Polo Chaps), slacks and Levi's and Wrangler jeans in many sizes.

The tailoring was well done and performed in less than a week. Prices for clothes and tailoring services are competitive. All items are sold at 10% off the price tag. If I recall correctly, one may have to join a mailing list. I have received only one sale announcement in 6 months.

I keep going back because of the service...and Murphy House BBQ is across the street. Seriously, it is a pleasant no hassle shopping experience where you will most likely find what you need.
