Weird tasting smoothies!. I typically get my smoothies from Planet Smoothie but since my co-workers chose Tropical Smoothie Cafe for our morning smoothies I agreed to give it a try.

I got a Strawberry/Banana/Pineapple type smoothie and it had this dirty dish water after taste. I figured it was because they added Splenda to make it low-cal and tried one of my co-workers to see if hers tasted different. Obviously, it was not the Splenda, because hers tasted like dirty dish water after as well.

Ill stick with my smoothies from Planet Smoothie! At least I do not throw those away after the first couple sips!

BEST place to grab quick lunch in Cameron Village.. Oh, yum. How I love this place!! I used to live in Cameron Village and would frequent Tropical Smoothie at least 3x a week. I love their breakfast wraps and their sandwichies. They serve what I consider to be the best smoothies around. Basically, everything on their menu is freakin awesome. It's a great place to get a fresh, healthy, filling meal for a great price. Something else awesome about this location is the employees. My boyfriend and I almost always made some type of comment about how friendly they all are during our visits. They are outgoing, helpful, and you never feel like you're bothering them.

However, I have moved, and now live closer to the location on Creedmoor Rd. That place sucks, basially because of the employees. They are all rude, and obviously do not want to be there.

Healthy and delicious!. I watched this franchise grow while living in Florida in the 90s. I was very excited to see that they expanded to the Raleigh area. This concept is perfect for this health concious city. The place is clean and inviting and the food is consistantly.fresh and delicious. I am hooked!

Wow!. I stumbled upon Tropical Smoothie Cafe this summer thinking they only sold smoothies. I ignored the big banner and signs that show the 2009 Metro Bravo award's for Best Deli & Best smoothies. After a few visits I got brave, tried the food and was blown away. The wraps are hot and made fresh. The sandwiches are better than any in the area. The even scored super high on the health score 99.5. To me this is a big deal, I never eat anywhere lower than a 95%. Anyway the food may be as good if not better than the smoothies. Not sure what DrakeNC had or when they visited but the folks there are always friendly and seem genuine. Each time I go I leave full, happy and feel good about eating at a healthier establishment. The prices to me are actually a little cheaper than others in the Cameron Village area so that's a double win. They also have a ton of people floating in and out. I really have not found anyone unhappy with Tropical Smoothie Cafe.

Anyone one else with me on this one. Tropical Smoothie cafe is second to none.

never again. every time I've eaten here I've felt sick afterward. once I even found a little bug in my lettuce. some kind of fly or something.

all of the employees seem really bummed out to work there and the managers always seem too pushy, towards customers and employees.

and of course, expensive as hell
