I am not putting the full blame on the establishment. I am not putting the full blame on the establishment because there is enough blame to go around including myself sharing in this injustice. A baby shower was held in the establishment on 25 Jun 2011 for my sister in law which was attended by 18 to 20 friends, coworkers, and family. The food was very good and our hostess treated us very well but there were a few issues that soured the mood for me afterwards. There was actually no written contract for this function and the price quoted was bubble by the end of the baby shower which lasted from 12 PM to 3 PM. The verbal agreement was $400.00 from 12PM to 3PM including one side of the establishment, buffet style serving, a bartender, and 30 plus guest. Well before the 25th there were request for a written contract but we were told not to worry about it because it would be handled on the day of the function which never happened. The gentleman who was supposed to be the coordinator was not present in the establishment on at the day of the event so I guess they saw nothing wrong with over charging for there services. Even with a verbal contract the establishment did not follow through with the agreement because they did not supply a bartender per the verbal contract. At the end of the baby shower we received a bill for 2 times the amount quoted ($800.00) and a have a nice day. Now looking after the fact this transaction was totally handled unprofessionally by all parties involved and I guess I cannot fault the restaurant for generating revenue off of people that allowed this criminal act to happen to them. I feel that he owner/ operators of this establishment are unethical, immoral, and lack integrity. I would not recommend this establishment as a please to take a family or conduct business because of a lack of a moral compass.

Fantastic place for romance on a weekend night. I have been dining there for a year. I love Mulberry on Main for a night of drinking, food and fun. Drinks from the bar are exceptionally good. I love the atmosphere. It's a great place to unwind from the work week and when the entertainer of the evening sings, class returns to what seems to be a classless era. This ambiance really does make a gal feel sexy. Love that! A rare experience found in Clayton for young and old alike. Try the pizza and have some drinks. Soak in the environment and have fun!

great service. we were part of a large party (rehearsal dinner serving about 50 people) hosted at this restaurant and it actually turned out very well. the space was cramped, but it wasn't their fault. they did the best they could. we had plenty of buffet-style food, they kept the plates stocked, our server (mike) did an excellent job of keeping drinks full and used plates and dirty wipes and napkins cleared from the tables. i was quite impressed at how well it went. we had a ton of kids (at least 12 under 7 years of age) as part of our wedding party so we were also a messy crowd, and they didn't even complain about it (and kept those napkins coming...).

the only thing i'd say that was "bad" was that the food wasn't seasoned to my husband's taste - the meat dishes needed a little bit of salt (which didn't stop him from eating it). but, i didn't notice - the spaghetti and green beans and salad were wonderful. my kids also ate plenty of spaghetti (two servings!). they didn't seem to care either.

we don't live near clayton but if we are ever in the area, we definitely will go back and try something from their regular menu!!!
