Apex >Anna's Pizzaria
Wish it was better.
I keep trying this restaurant because of its location and it looks sweet from the outside, too.
Inside (as has been noted) it is crowded and noisy because it is a small space. The staff seem to want you to leave (even before you get your food) and the food is disappointing. Using cheap bland ingredients just will not give the flavor I want in Italian food - more flavor please!!
Don't think I will be trying it again.
Food was good and reasonably priced.
Do not go for the atmoshere of to have a conversation. To much noise and ill behaved kids.
Also check out their last Wake County sanitation inspection - 88.
I have recently been sparked into sharing my local dining experiences, so Anna's is #2 on my list of places to write about.
I love trying new food, especially pizza! After my son's soccer game one Saturday, we actually were able to get into Anna's fairly quickly, usually their line is out the door...which aside from requiring patience, speaks a world about the business.
The pizza we ordered was the Sicilian style with various meats and vegetables. The crust was AMAZING (buttery and crispy) and the toppings were generous and seamed to be of good quality. The sauce had good flavor and was light, which is my preference, but my husband had to ask for some extra on the side.
My only complaint was that it did take a while for a server to greet us and get our drink order. However, it will take more than that to keep us from going back for more of their amazing pizza, after all, we all have bad days.
I would highly recommend this pizzeria (they do offer other Italian menu items, have yet to try)!
