RE: VULPES Review
by Sbcand
This is regarding VULPES review.....I agree that Dr. Lash was not the nicest person and didn't seem to care about the animals BUT she has been gone for over 4-5 years. The vets in there now are totally awesome and love the animals. When my cat had to be put to sleep, the vet cried with us! She had operated on him and the whole office staff was pulling for him to live but he just couldn't make it. They are the friendliest vet I have ever been to and would recommend to anyone. Most of the office staff has been there for years which says something about working for these vets. VULPS, please make sure you know what your talking about before you write a negative review about a business. You're years behind in your information.
- Pros: Best vet in the country
- Cons: None
Best Vet Ever!!! This is for the person "VULPES"

Before writing a review about someone you should get your facts straight!!! Dr Lash has not been w/this clinic or associated w/ it for over 4 yrs. She has a mobile service. So therefor do your research prior to posting something on 10/26/2008 that is incorrect. If you visited the clinic recently I think you would change your whole review, and by looking at your posting's your not happy with any vet!! Are you sure you went to the one at 40/42 in the food lion shopping center????? Take time to revisit the correct clinic and re-write your review or keep your thoughts to yourself if you cant get your facts straight!! PS-the inside has been completely remodeled and there is no places falling apart. The correct address is 73 Glen Rd..3 doors down from food lion..#919-662-7387. I have 3 dogs and 1 cat and they all love to go there. The staff seems like one big happy family and treats you and your pet the same. So I dare you to revisit the clinic and then write a review.
- Pros: My pets love it!!!
- Cons: None!!
Poor medicine, horrible doctor, hole in the wall!
by vulpes
I would never ever take a pet to this hospital. Horrible handling of animals. Poor communication to people and pets. Parts of facility not well-maintained/falling apart. And the doctor, wow, in a bad way. She is aptly named Dr. Lash, out of a horror flick. While waiting, I heard her yelling at staff or a client, and could hear staff talking outside the exam room about how Dr. Lash over-reacted/borderline abuse to a client's pet! I have seen all manner of vets and hospitals and this place is the worst: exceptionally penny-pinching for themselves (I'm afraid what the back/treatment area was like...fear the surgery unit would harm rather than heal in a hole like this one!), while charging for exams that are not complete: don't thoroughly check eyes and ears, teeth, abdomen, skin, joints, heart, lungs, etc. What are you paying for if not for a thorough exam of your pet, paying a professional because you don't know animal anatomy, physiology, and disease...but wait, they just look at the pet, say it "looks healthy"...something I do everyday, except I touch my pet way more than they did. The staff seemed nice...if not wary of Dr. Lash. I'm concerned when staff at any medical and/or pet facility aren't all cohesive, passionate, proud of their work. Over vaccinated pets, wanted to do too many things out of sight, in the back area. Other hospitals have individual vaccine protocol per patient, do skin tests and blooddraws in front of me, calmly and confidently, with great skill/intelligence. My dogs and cats are veterans of a variety of hospitals and people handling them... professionally at ease in many different situations. But here, their body language said worried, unsure, untrusting, and that says A LOT to me. They were hearing/seeing the same bad signals I was. I saw a roommate's pet get "examined" and joined just to scope out the place. Told my roomie and friend I know other vets that are much better, and converted her...she'll never go back.
