Very dissatisfied with their customer service. Very Poor customer service, and they do not make any effort to help their customers at all.
Garner Amerigas – I have had nothing but horrible customer service. I had a leak test done and not 2 months later 30 gal was missing from my tank, I don't ever recommend Amerigas to anyone ever. This place is a money pit.
Very Unhappy – Seven years ago when I bought my house and had to set up a small tank for the fireplace logs, Amerigas had the best deal in town. The terms were reasonable around the tank rental fee and it was always one lady who answered the phone to take the delivery order. So much so, that I referred a neighbor to them.
Boy, how things change!! Two years ago, I called for the fill, got lost in the phone mail tree, and finally was quoted a price that was $2 a gallon higher than the price for the people who have larger tanks (250gal+). Come ON!! I'm not requesting emergency fill, I still wait a week to 10 days for your truck to saunter by when it is convenient to their route, and I get punished to that extent because my tank is just for fireplace logs?? I expect to pay about 50 - 60 cents more a gallon at most. (Still don't like paying more for the same thing -- I mean, when I fill up the car it is the same price if I buy 1 gal or 20, right?!?)
Well....so I decided to use up my tank. They had the $75 fee last year to pump out a tank, so I decided to wait until I ran it dry. Wouldn't you know it....before I could do that, I got this year's new terms that have a new fee of $100 to pick up the tank, and the pump out fee is now $125. JEEZ!! But wait, it gets better.....today's price per gal for a small tank of propane is $5.79. ARE YOU BLEEPING KIDDING ME?!?! Oh yeah, they offered me $2.69 for a "win-back" but I would just go through this again next year. (Competing companies are 3.39, 3.49 and 3.59 for the small tank per gallon cost.)
Bottom line....I feel so ripped off by this company that I am (gladly?) paying the $100 to get them out of my life. Good riddance!!
Appalling Customer Service – Customer service could care less that I have 2 small children at home and no heat until they're able to inspect the tank - in ONE WEEK. I have excellent credit and based on what appears to be customer service bias, I was told they would have to check with the Service Manager if anything could be done to get us on the inspection list sooner so they could then perhaps fill the tank. The next sentence I was told that they were busy and nothing could be done.

Honesty is not their policy
Tried to call most of the morning to place an order as a C.O.D. customer which I usually did until they got this "new" system that doesn't allow driver to accept payment not even checks... WOW a great vote of confidence for your employees and now calls me a "prepay customer". Didn't get an answer nor did phone go to voicemail or automated answer, just rang busy. I finally went to the local office 7 mi. from my residence. Lady comes from office talking to who knows who - I asked was the phones working she says "yes, but all line are on hold, we're so busy". Well lo & behold what happens the phone rings - What A Lie! She didn't want to answer it but knew better because I was standing right there, I could see it in her expression.
Finally I paid by card to get a delivery which will be 7-10 business days out - Lady I live 7 miles away what's your delivery method - horse and buggy? Claims she'll print a delivery ticket for this afternoon - it was 4:00pm and they close at 5:00pm. What a fine example of poor customer services / appreciation - lies, lies, and they don't care. If you have other options - Don't do this one!
Poor Service – Tried calling over a period of 2 days. Phone line was busy. On 3rd day they were rude and acted like it was a huge inconvenience to give a price quote. We went with another vendor who was actually a few dollars higher.
Do not recommend.
Bad service – Horrible customer service. Main office is completely uninterested in customer. Garner office phone lines are always busy. An invoice with invalid charges was sent to me. No way to rectify it. Stay away from Amerigas.
Poor Customer service – Poor customer service. Do not make any effort to help their customers or future customers. Lie about mailing out contracts for service.
