Find Another Doctor. As many other reviews have said, Dr Miketa is not a people person. He seems angry, efensive, and annoyed in general that you are at his office. I went to him a few times for Plantar fasciitis, each time treated with little to no respect. Finally I got fed up with his attitude/demeanor and told the front desk I would not be coming back. They gave me a knowing smile and said "We understand", I can only assume this was something they heard on a frequent basis.…
Very Professional Dr, Miketa. My Wife had a problem with her foot my Family Dr sent us there,I was shocked on some of the posts since we did not see that, Really nice staff as well as the Dr.Miketa My wife did understand what the Dr was telling her and the problems as well as other possibly different treatments, I would tell any one who needed a foot Dr, To go to Carolina Family Foot care.…
Not a Fan. As others have stated, the Dr. has very poor people skills, and an odd interpersonal communications style. Went twice, and decided it was not my cup of tea. Found the experience very odd. On a positive note, the front office staff is very nice.…
Not as bad as they say..
I live near Fuquay Varina, and had a horrible INGROWN NAIL!!! That thing was horrible! yuck! I hope it never comes back again. Anyways, my experience with Dr. Miketa and the rest of the staff was not
as bad as others. The two girls were very nice, and helpful. The doctor was friendly at first, there was times when I didn't really understand what his mood was.( i was very attentive to see if these reviews were true) But, whatever, he seemed like he knew what he was doing. I asked the girls up front how long he had been practicing and they said early 90's so I'm sure he does know what he's doing. Just had my last visit today. The re-coop from the nail removal took a couple of week, I bought that kit thing they have in the office, at first I was gonna go buy on line but when i saw it was more expensive I just bought it in the office. I dunno if it would have taken longer if i had not bought the kit. At one point I got freaked out that my toe was RED!!! like a couple of days after the procedure... I called the office. One of the girl answered, Chassity? (I dont remember her name) ... anyways, the Doctor was not in that day. So she called him or something, and then called me back like 4 hours later, and told me just to take some ibuprofen. MY TOE DID NOT FALL OFF. ha ha ha... anyways now I'm ranting. All in all... if you are looking to be treated like royalty, or looking to make buddy buddy with the Doctor ( call him up for golf and stuff) then go to Cary or the Hamptons, LOL. If you need to get an Ingrown Nail taken care of then just go here. Did I mention I have no insurance, they were cool with that, got a payment plan.... ok I'm gonna stop talking now. This guy knows what he's doing.
[Also may I remind all the readers, most people will only write reviews when they want to complain, so please let me encourage everyone to write good things about the places we like and not just bad.]…
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.
I went to this practice because of a fungus condition of large toe...there also was an embedded nail that needed attention on same foot. He started on embedded nail first and caused a LOT of pain,
when I complained of the pain he started yelling at me to relax! I told him "pain and relax are not partners!". His eyes became large and he looked deranged...I should have left then but I stayed. He then injected large toe for nail removal....,I felt nothing as he had used local spray (same spray he could have used for embedded nail).,,.,..he attempted tof have me purchase a "kit" at 37.00 which would help healing process and mean I wouldnt have to soak it, buy bandages, etc. I declined as I didnt have the money. It is now over a month and I have been back to office 3 times to have foot looked at...it is still red, sore, swollen and VERY painful...Every one I have spoken to (3 people) said they never experienced this length of pain and what seems to be an infection...they wanted to know if he used sterile instruments, I cannt attest to that as he kept a shield up at end of table so you cannt see what he does,...I have another appt. which I intend to cancel....I also met another patient who also had her foot bandaged up and she experienced the same thing...said she wasnt gonna have other one done as she has been through hell.
The staff was pleasant enough....but to go through pain bad enough that you can only wear open toed shoes and have the area still red and oozing blood after a month for just a nail removal is almost criminal.
I also wonder how they stay in practice.…
