Where do I begin? Well i was excited
to find this restaurant. I had a server that did not understand English very well, and was very rude and sarcastic. I ordred several things on the dim sum menu and they were out of a few items, and others were only avaible in weekends,
I was told this was because everything came premade and preprepared and had to be ordered. So apparently non of the dim sum is fresh, they just reheat pre made stuff. YUCK!
When I inquired if they had something as I found the menu confusing, I was told in a very sarcastic and impatient tone that obviously if I didn't see it on the menu they wouldn't have it.
YIKES!!!!
Finally a decent Dim Sum place.
I have tried many a dim sum houses around this area and this is one of the better ones. I refuse to travel all the way to Durham or Chapel Hill to find a good place and I'm sure there are some there. But when you live in Wake County, there has to be one here sooner or later.
Everything was good. I make sure that I leave enough room for the mango pudding (this is a must have). The lotus leaf sticky rice was not to my liking, filling ingredients was lacking in taste.
The stuffed green pepper (jalapeno), excellent. Would recommend this for "chile heads" very hot. Beef ribs with honey lemon sauce very good!
I would highly recommend this place to those who like dim sum. I have not tried the regular menu so I cannot comment on it. Maybe my next visit if I can get past the Dim Sum :)
Best Chinese Food.
I love this place. They have an excellent lunch combo. They do takeout but it's worth coming in to sit down.
They have an extensive menu including typical Chinese restaurant food as well as some Thai cuisine (mostly curries). My favorite is the General Tso's chicken which has an incredible moist yet crispy texture and in a very tasty sweet and hot sauce. Their green Thai curry is also quite delightful. This restaurant located next to the Baby Moon cafe near Perimeter Park is set up for groups or couples. They play pleasant ambient music and the atmosphere is mostly quite calm though you may be shocked by the human sized mecha/transformers sculpture when you first walk in.The service is always very polite and attentive and they are obviously used to the lunch crowd because they will bring your food fast! I do wish they would get rid of the absolutely enormous television which seems totally out of place, but it isn't played too loud fortunately.
