Get a written quote!. I sent a big block and a set of rectangular port heads for a 454 to be machined and assembled. A ball park figure for the project was $5200.00. After deciding the block was questionable steve ashworth decided to use a block he had in stock instead of mine. The engine was delivered to me before I was aware of any problems. The price went to $7000.00. The kicker is steve ashworth didn't bring the block that wasn't usable.

Be careful, be very, very careful when doing business with this person.

Service is horribe!. This guy is unbelievable, in a bad way. He is always having a bad day. I went in this morning to pick up a part his employee said would be there today or Monday. He said that he had no idea when they would get it in. My response was "I wish your guy wouldn't have said it would be here by monday", as I was walking to buy a package that cost three times as much as the part I needed, but was in this package. He said his help didn't know how things worked, then he got upset and told me "I can't help you, seriously I can't help you". Steve needs to train his guys and get an attitude adjustment. I wouldn't buy an oil filter from this dude. I wish this rating would allow no stars for that jerk!

Amazing service & knowledge. Steve is absolutely amazing, he really went well above and beyond on my engine even doing some for free which just shows how passionate he is about what he does. I was going to do a simple "Throw it together and hope it lasts" but Im leaving with a bulletproof engine at a great price. Words cant describe the experience Ive had there.

Knowledge that is hard to find. If you are serious about doing things the right way then this is the place for you. There are no corners skipped at this shop. If you do not mind hearing straight answers and need soild work, I do not know of any better.

They usually have stuff in stock. Sure they have things (parts, engines and what-not) that most parts store don't in stock but try not to deal with the owner. He is a bit of an a$$. I try not to go in there unless REALLY needed. Don't go on a Sunday unless you just want whats out front.
