The owner is a horrible person.. I have gone there for years and watched how horrible the owner is to his clients and staff. He is very condescending and rude. He talks very badly of women and the rest of the time he talks about how much better he is than his staff!?! If you read all reviews carefully youll notice all the "bad" reviews are concerning the owner. The good reviews about him are as if he wrote them himself. I will never step foot in that salon ever again because of him specifically. I feel very sorry for all of the stylist still left there which are few and I think I know why.....

Jessie is wonderful!!!. I visited Salon Jon Clay for the first time and found the most wonderful hair stylist, Jessie Meacham!!! She knew just what I needed. She used the INOA color on me which made my hair feel wonderful just like she said it would, then put highlights, and a good cut that was perfect. Now my hair is this wonderful shinny warm color that I love. Jessie knew just the right color for me. She is very creative and excelent with color and has a flare for knowing what will work for your look! I look forward to going back to Jessie and recommend her highly!!!

Horrible customer service and horrible cuts. My regular stylist was out on sick leave so I thought I would try Salon Jon Clay. It seemed like a reputable place. My hair is cut in a graduated bob and that is what I asked for. Just follow what had already been done.....simple enough. What I got was a chopped up mess. It was chopped straight across and it is awful!!!!! I called to speak to the manager but he wasn't in. The girl at the front desk was polite and apologetic and took my number. I never recieved a call back. I called again a couple of days later and left my name and number again as I was told the manager was busy. I still haven't recieved a call back and it has been over a week. It seems that they don't care about their clients if they are dissatisfied. This is the worst customer service I have ever recieved and poor, poor management. I hate that I had to rate this at all as I think one star is too much!

Stylist Jon is the best!. I have been getting my hair styled at Salon Jon Clay by Jon for at least the last 10 years. I have recommended Jon to several friends who love the job he does as well. He is so professional and has been cutting hair for 25+ years and is very very good!

Overall good experience. I tried Salon Jon Clay for the first time the other day. I had read overall good reviews, but you never know. I got a shampoo cut and blowdry. I really like my cut and my stylist took his time and I had his full attention. He described why he was doing what he was doing and what products he was using (without pushing me to buy them). I was a little disapointed in the infamous shampoo with head massage, but it definitely went on longer than your normal shampoo at a salon, so I can't complain too much. I also appreciated that the stylist instructed the shampooer what products to use on my hair instead of a One-size-fits-all approach. $60 plus $12 tip = $72 which I feel is pretty reasonable for Cary. Everyone was pleasant and the place was unpretentious. I'll probably be going back.
