Try it! Its great!.
My family and I LOVE this place! Quick, friendly, and we normally get it to go so we can walk around down town Cary. The service is great, the peanut butter/honey/banana in a pita is AWESOME, and I'll admit it... Sometimes I make excuses to go to downtown Cary just to stop by.

Great Cary Staple.
Serendipity is a great place to go for lunch (and they do dinner too). To me it is a staple in downtown Cary. My favorite is to go when the weather is nice and sit outside. I highly recommend the albacore croissant and the peanut butter special (a pita filled with pb, honey, and bananas). Also the Garden is delicious! It's quaint and charming inside and the staff is very friendly. I have been going there for years. I rate it as one of the best sandwich shops for good simple food. Try their desserts too! The peanut butter pie is mouth watering delicious.

Good sandwiches, slow service.
Serendipity is a cute deli with an authentic interior. I went here on a Sunday for lunch and was disappointed in how long we had to wait to be served. We sat at our table for probably 30 minutes before our server took our order. However, I do think they were short staffed as it seemed this one waitress was taking care of everyone in the place. The sandwiches we ordered were good, but not something I would wait another 45 minutes for. I would still recommend Serendipity for lunch, but perhaps not on a Sunday afternoon.

Excellent lunch.
Three friends and I recently had lunch at the Serendipity and every one of us thought the food was both plentiful and excellent. We sat outside on a beautiful day, were served promptly, and enjoyed it thoroughly. It could not have been nicer. I highly recommend the restaurant.

Avoid sorry to say avoid.
Very disapointed, I ordered take out a Reuben and a corn beef on whole wheat with provalone.
The size of the sandwich was soo small, the meat was veryy minimal . This WAS NOT a real Reuben sandwich, Im used to real thick meat FILLED reuben with a load of kraut this was just a poor examle of wht a real reuben is the Corned beed with lettuce tomate on whole wheat was EXACTlY like a sandwich you would make for a 12 year old small an lacking in the meat. Thes sandwich were 6.50 and 5.75 respectivly. NO WORTH IT at all, the only saving grace was a coupon I had for by one get on free, stay away if ur used to real deli sandwiches, this place is for kids twelve and under.

Great place for lunch!.
My boyfriend and I went on a Saturday afternoon for lunch and loved it. The food was delicious (the coleslaw was wonderful), service was great and the outside seating is perfect for a nice afternoon. I highly recommend trying this place - it's way better than the average deli.
