Cary >Yba Enterprise Little Tokyo
Family Friendly! Great food too!. We just went there tonight with our three small children. Besides the food being delicious, the staff was soooooo nice and so patient with our children. The owner even made a spill proof cup for my 16 month old. She would stop and play with him and bring him random things to entertain him. I loved them. They also brought out a couple of delicious items on the house, that we did not order. We had some sushi, a couple udon bowls, and some teriyaki chicken for the kids. I highly recommend Little Tokyo.
Best sushi around the triangle.
I used to live close by this area and found this place by chance, but I am happy that I did. I have taken several friends there and they all agree that the food is amazing. They make you feel welcome. You are always brought a free appitizer and sometimes a desert of green tea ice cream.
I am a big sushi fan and I have yet to taste better anywhere around this area. The service is usually great though I did go once when there were younger people waiting tables and the service was nowhere near as good.
I highly recommend giving this place a try!
Great little place. I have been to Little Tokyo both by myself and with another person a few times. When I go alone, I get the tempura udon (it's messy to eat, I don't like to eat it in front of other people) and when I go with a friend I'll get some sort of sushi. I have never been disappointed, and really like the free little appetizers they serve: one in a big shell and another heart shaped one. These are consistently good, although I have no idea what they are or what exactly they're made of. I have very much enjoyed the tempura udon and would love to see them add tempura soba (or even plain old soba!) to the menu. I love the size and atmosphere of the place and have always had polite and attentive waitresses.
BEST SUSHI EVER. We went here on a recommendation from a friend and have been back at least a dozen times since. This is the ONLY place to go if you want Sushi, and they have simply the best rolls anywhere in the Triangle!
Good sushi restaurant relative to the area.
I've had sushi all over the world, all over the nation, and (more relevant to this review) all over the Triangle. Little Tokyo is far from the best sushi that I've had, that's why I cannot give it 5 stars. However, for this area I'd have to say it is one of the best.
Their fish quality varies day to day. I've had it once where it was worse than Sushi Blues (perhaps the worst tasting sushi in the area), but on most occasions it is pretty good. If you are looking for a little more fish quality, but at a higher price then look towards Waraji in northwest Raleigh. I cannot comment on their other food however, I've honestly never tried it.
Service also varies based on who you get to serve you. It's mediocre overall, but they will let your water glass go empty before coming around to refill.
The best part about Little Tokyo is as most other people have said, the extras you get. I've always gone with one other person and neither of us have ever left hungry. Most of the time I've received two appetizers on the house prior to my meal and a small desert afterward. When I've gone with with a female friend, sure enough they bring out a heart-shaped appetizer; they have always found this mildly humorous.
The price here is about on par with everything else in the area, maybe a little less. I've never been dissatisfied with what I've eaten for what I've paid.
Charming and Romantic. This restaurant was amazing! The waitress was very sweet and the appetizers were not only free, but delicious. The sushi presentation and flavor were outstanding. The best I've ever had! If you are looking for a romantic and homey place to enjoy sushi with loved ones this is it!
God awful service, drowned sushi.
To give them credit there is one lady in the front who was polite, the rest of the staff was rude. Any attempt to reach the restaurant by phone is lost because they say they're too busy to talk.
The food it self below average, the sushi would be normal but they drown the stuff in chili sauce to the point where it only tastes of the stuff. They give free appetizers but they're bland stuff.
Disappointing. I'd made reservations for Valentines 2 weeks early. When I got there they said they were too busy to make reservations and canceled all of the ones they had.
A joke right?.
How can this be Five stared sushi joint? Is people nuts in this area?
I just moved from New York and because City Search Five star rating Me and my wife visted this so called

Best Sushi in NC. I love sushi and this is the only place I will eat it at in North Carolina. THE best sushi I have ever had in my life! I drive 30 minutes one way to eat it and I don't care. MUST try it if you like sushi, gaurentee you won't go anyplace else! There is not one bad thing on their menu, and they'll randomly bring you free food while waiting for your order! FANTASTIC!
