I am now reminded to read recent reviews of restaurants, and to read more than one to gain a true picture of a restaurant. Went to India Garden at Cary Mall for Saturday lunch buffet and left disgusted. I love Indian food, but the food I tried on the buffet was bland, terribly oily, and the supposed delicious butter chicken was mealy. The raita was not more than just sour, but inedible. Place was empty, atmosphere awkward, and I will never be back. This place apparently had delicious food back in the late 1990s...but I happily paid the 10 dollar buffet fee just to leave the place.

I love eating Indian Food at your place. I enjoy all of the dishes, they are trutly special; the vegetables, the chicken, the rice and bread are just a delight. I love the aromas going on and the delicate flavors of the food. It's hard to pick a favorite dish- I like them all. I love it when they play music from India, it all adds to the great experience. I have always found polite people serving and received a great service. A place worth visiting every time!!

This was my first visit to this restaurant, there was no one there when i arrived (but it was raining so i figured i'd give them a break), this restaurant was very dated inside too. I ordered tea, raita, naan, tomato soup and the chicken korma. The soup literally tasted like a can of Campbell's soup, actually i'm about 100% sure it was! I told the waitress that I did not care for the soup (i was expecting something either homeade or with exotic spices), she said to me, "You ordered tomoto soup right? I said yes but it was not what i was expecting and she said, well you will still have to pay for it." Very unprofessional in my opinion, so we were off to a bad start..... The Chicken Korma was below average, the portion was small and i was very dissapointed. The tea was lukewarm and tasted awful, i wasn't about to even go the route of returning the tea but just knew there was not going to be any tip involved. Very disappointed in both the food and the service. The only good (or bad) thing was the food came out REALLY fast.....? Good luck!
