great wings! great beer selection!. EM Are Wings - good! 'Em are Wings serve more than wings. Try the salads, hearty and good, fresh, too. Plenty of parking and fast service. Good place to go for quick lunch.
This Place has some issues !. There are so many better choices in the Area. Do not even waste your time here. Try Skippers just down the street...Wonderful food, and no Drama!

What really happened on lun007's visit to em r wings. The family came in to the restaurant in a rowdy fashion and the children were not well behaved or quiet. One of them kept requesting, with temper tantrums, to go outside and see the "pretty motorcycles" out front, so the father obliged about 7 or 8 times, going in and out each time and bothering the owners of the motorcycles and other bar customers. I saw the father leaving right when the food came out. I went outside to investigate.I asked what the problem was and they did say "the food took to long". I agreed with them and told them that there was a large order prior to their's and that delayed their order. The father said" that is ridiculous because there was no one else in the restaurant but them" and I said we also do take-out orders as well. HIS wife then told him to go pay for the food so I would not call the cops for fraud, she was very embarrased by his behavior and his yelling in front of their kids in public. Upon paying the bill he said he "was a regular customer" and he asked if the restaurant was under new owners. We have owned em r wings for 8 years and he did not know that plus none of the staff recognized them and we are there everyday. Not very regular at all. He then said that "it was not that much money .why the big deal". I asked him "if someone took 40 bucks from you would it matter or would your boss care if you took 40 bucks from him". NO response, I guess stealing is OK with him. He then tried to use his kids as the excuse for him acting like he did and I said "you chose to bring them here so stop trying to blame them for you acting like a fool, not a pro-choice or life thing at all. GET A GRIP. if he would have mentioned there was a problem instead of sneaking out of the restaurant like a common criminal there would not have been a problem but he had lost his patience with his kids and felt he could act anyway he wanted and he did. I was protecting my interests by getting money owed to me by the fraudulent customer. .
He's pro-choice because he hates kids?.
In response to lun007's review:
I was one of the customers on his advice to try the place out. Good wings - good drink prices were his comments. I know other people who have also taken his advice. I was not impressed personally by the atmosphere. Pretty 'neighborhood bar' type of place, but good wings and drink prices.
Lun007 related his recent experience on 10/08 with the night manager. I agree with the actions taken by the customer. Waiting for 30 minutes with three hungry kids is not a pleasant experience. Children need to stay active. They left to find another restaurant to get some food. This action brought the manager to confront them. The manager said there was a big order of wings that delayed their service. I question his reasoning. They could have delivered the children's food and the salad. Why is it so important to deliver all the food at the same time? Is that considered good service?
The real kicker is the manager's response to the question about having to sit 30 minutes with hungry kids - "that's why I'm pro-choice." Is he saying that he'd rather terminate a child's life than have to raise them? That comment justifies a sign on the door that says "NO CHILDREN".
Area residents of RTP - it is a sad mental attitude that our population has developed. Might I say a sickness that can cripple a society. That we have to live and associate with such irresponsible neighbors is a reflection of how our nation has morphed into such a putrid state since Roe v. Wade, better stated - the pill.
If the manager is also the owner, he should close the restaurant until he has healed from his sickness and also aplogize to the community if and before he reopens.
If the manager is not the owner, he should be fired for voicing his personal views before a room full of customers and possibly producing injury beyond repair to a business that provides the means for his survival.
I sincerely ask that you join me to boycott EMR WINGS in Apex, NC.
Owner is offensive and rude.
After years of being semi-regular customers and bringing numerous friends (who also became semi-regulars) to the establishment, we will never, ever go back to Em R Wings again. Here's what happened to us the last time we attempted to eat there:
We were having our floors re-done so we needed to eat out for a few nights. Wings sounded good so we went to Em R Wings for a bite. After sitting down we were given the menus and drinks in the normal delivery time. A few minutes later we ordered the following:
1 chicken salad, 2 corn dogs and 2x 10 piece wing orders.
Not what I would call an outrageous order.
After over 30 minutes of waiting with 3 kids (who were well behaved), we left $2 for the $1.50 beer and walked out.
The owner comes out in the parking lot to find us pulling out. (needless to say we are hungry & upset about the service)
He is yelling at my wife about calling the cops because we "walked out" on the bill. I told him that we paid for what we consumed, but he was having none of that. (keep in mind everyone in the van wants what they ordered)
I get out of the van telling him in the calmest voice I could find "to pack up the food to go, let me pay you in cash so I can never come back."
I go inside to pay & old boy and he starts ripping me a new one about how much money "%$#@ like this costs him". During this whole time he will not stop claiming that he is "calling the police for theft".
I tell him again if he is going to call the police he should go ahead and do it.
This is where it gets good.
I ask him if he has any kids and has had to wait for over 30 minutes for food. He replies " $&** no, and that's why I'm Pro Choice." Wow, I didn't know you could say stuff like that and still operate a business.
More power to you brother.
So I guess this explains 2 things -
1. Why there is no kids menu.
2. Why we and our friends will never eat there again.
Good-bye Em R Wings, we'll miss the cigarettes while being served with wings.
Bad Wings, Filthy Place.. Dirty place, bad staff and for this place to be a specialty wing joint, they have a lot of explaining to do. Inconsistant sauce, bad produce, weak portions of Blue Cheese or Ranch. For example I order 25 wings, they give me 2 ozs of just one kind of dressing? She likes Blue Cheese I like Ranch, duh. They charge extra for a second dressing with an order of 25 wings, I could maybe understand on 10 wings, but on 25? Give me a break you cheap skates.
Don't bother...... I really wanted to like this food. We ordered wings (hot), onion rings (most were burnt), "batter-fried fries (didn't see any batter and they were limp and lukewarm), and a cheeseburger (it was ok). The wings were a disappointment. Not much meat on them and they were swimming in sauce. Yuk. We'd love to see a Buffalo Wild Wings open around here. We frequented one in Wilmington NC that had the BEST wings around. A large selection of sauces and make sure youask for them RE-GRILLED. Yummy. As far as EMR Wings, we won't be going back.......
