Crislyn is amaizing! She really listened to what my concerns were and executed my color EXACTLY. Not only were my color/highlights spot on she gave me a total transformation with my cut. Unlike any other stylist she managed to create a beautiful highlight/color & cut that fit my personality and lifestyle.She was really friendly & welcoming yet professional.

Based on the good reviews, I decided to give this place a try. I booked an appointment with Christina to put some low-lights in my hair. When she saw my hair, she recommended a protein treatment ($20). This would keep the low-lights from washing out. Because of the treatment and the cut, we didn't have time to do the color. The treatment burned my scalp and the back of my neck so badly that I had to go to the dermatologist the next day. The burn occurred in the salon but the only thing that was done was to make a note on my chart not to give me the protein treatment again. I really liked Christina, but I will not be coming back to Twisted Scizzors. I was out $60 (the treatment plus a so-so haircut) and never got what I wanted in the first place.

Amanda is the best. Amanda has been doing my hair forever. She is truly the best. I love going to the salon and I always trust her. We have tried different things with my hair and I have always walked out of there loving it. None else will ever touch my Hair. Thank you Amanda.

Twisted Scizzors is Terrific!. Twisted Scizzors is an amazing salon that employs, caring, compassionate, professionals who take the time to focus on your individual needs and wants. Amanda Kimball has been our family’s hair stylist for years. Amanda is a master in hair design and is able to keep three generations of my family looking fabulous. Let me give you some specific examples. My daughter has battled thin and brittle hair since she was in high school. Amanda is able to give her a contemporary cut that leaves her hair looking healthy, soft, and stylish. My mother –in –law recently moved in with us. She had been living in another state and had let her hair grow because it was extremely thin. She thought that plopping a bun on her head would make her hair look fuller when in fact it exposed many bald areas. She visited Amanda for a free consultation and then came back for a cut and style. What a difference! Instead of looking her age of 80, she looked like a woman in her 60’s. Amanda keeps my thick, middle aged mane classy, yet up to date. My teenage son also benefits greatly from Nadia’s expertise as an esthetician. Twisted Scissors is able to keep a whole family of different ages and different hair textures looking great!

Great Styling. Amanda Kimball has been my stylist for many years and whenever I want to do something new she knows exactly how to shape my cut so that it fits into my lifestyle. I was in a couple of weeks ago for my regular trim and wanted to move to a new style. I wanted more volume and waves. My hair is short but thick so there is not much wiggle room. Amanda created a style for me that met all my expectations, it was short but full and let the natural wave in my hair come through... and I didn't change how I took care of my hair. How lucky can I be to have a stylist that is so creative. She is fabulous!

Amanda Kimball - Best Stylist/Owner in Triangle. Amanda Kimball is fantastic. She's really the best Stylist & Owner in the Triangle. Not only do I get compliments on my hair color & cut all the time, but Amanda is very involved in the community and really gives back.

I bounced around from salon to salon before a friend recommended Amanda. She goes to lots of classes and keeps ahead of all the trends. She found a wonderful color that made my hair look more natural.

I have not found any other business owner who gives back to the community as much as Amanda does. I've gone to a few fundraisers & cut-a-thons that Amanda has done at Twisted Scizzors. She also cuts my son's hair. He loves going to her as well and he gets a great haircut everytime.

She gets my vote for best Stylist & Owner in the Triangle.

Wonderful Salon!!. After looking for about two years for a hairdresser in the Cary area to tame my unruly waves , I knew my search was over when I found Amanda. Amanda has been my stylist for several years, now and I have also seen Tammy when Amanda was on maternity leave. The receptionists and stylists at Twisted Scizzors are personable, attentive to your requests, and offer sound styling advice without being pushy. (This is important to me as I had been to one person previously who insisted that I have more hair length cut off when I didn't desire to do so....) Twisted Scizzors is a hip, fun, yet professional environment. I would recommend this salon to anyone!

Excellent haircut and color. Christina cut and colored my hair today. She was very attentive and interested in what I liked and didn't. She offered suggestions, and ultimately gave me the best haircut and color I have had to date. There was no hard sell of products, she described what she was using on my hair, how to use them and didn't even offer to sell them, which was a nice change of pace. I felt like I was in charge of the visit. She was extremely nice and I plan to go back soon. My hair looks great for the first time on a very long time.

Great locally-owned salon. It's so nice to have a great salon close by! Amanda (the owner) is my stylist--she's helped me through the trials and tribulations of growing out my hair, which can be challenging! I love my haircut every time, and feel quite pampered when I leave there! And, when I get color, she listens to what I want, which is VERY important!! I also love their philosophy of giving back to the community---they have fundraising events that benefit others. A great small business that I'm proud to give 5 stars to--and, it's really nice having them within walking distance!!
