Poor Customer Service.
My friend and I purchased Groupon certificates to get a mani pedi together. When I called to make an appointment, no one answered the phone (during business hours) for hours. I finally left a message because the recording said I could request an appointment that way.
After 24 hours, no one had returned my call. I called back. At that point the woman on the phone told me that my friend and I could not both book Groupon appointments at the same time. I told her that restriction was not part of the Groupon, but it didn't matter. She said that they would not book two people for any discount services at the same time, regardless of how they called or booked. I explained that we had bought the certificates to spend time together, but she still refused to book us.
I'm sorry that I'm out $35, but I'm not sorry that I won't be visiting a business with such poor customer service.
Not a good experience. The staff was not friendly. I had an appt for mani/pedi thru a special. One girl did my mani first, said she had back problems and someone else would have to do the pedi. That's the only time she talked to me. When mani was over she told me to sit in the pedi chair (no water or soaking offered) until the other girl arrived. As I sat and waited I noticed how dirty the place was including the basin that you soak your feet in...someone's toenail clipping were in there. Grossed me out so I just told then to forget about the pedicure and left. The girl had never showed up anyway after waiting more than 15 minutes. Notice someone else said they got a foot fungus..doesn't surprise me.
This is not true, who ever this person is only has one review,no other business are reviewed and they have only been a member of Citysearch since the date they put the review up here, probably a disgruntled employee who does not work here anymore. There is no one who works here who has back problems. That employee is no longer employed here. Studio 714 West has a Grade A rating from the NC State Board of Cosmetology.
worst place ever to get pedi. i went here thru one of the deals. they did not even do what the deal said. i got a fungus all over the bottom of my feet, my service tech, left me, answered her cell phone, never came back to check on me, the place was dirty, they acted like i was not even there. would never go back.
Love It!!!!. OK lady's keep up the good job, i enjoy my times when i get the chance to come into the salon and sit in Shandell's chair and get my nails done and when she finish with me i turn right around and ask Nancy if she would be nice enough to do my pedi's, which she takes me every time. I love this shop so i don't understand what some of these reviews are talking about!!!! So lady's as one of your most loved clients keep up the GOOD WORK!!!!!!!
All Good To Me. I recently took time to use my Groupon for my mani/pedi at Studio 714. I have nothing but good comments about my first of many trip to the Studio. I was more than pleased with my Pedi. I also had a more that pleasant experience getting my brows arched and enhanced; the technicians took time to educate me on how to manage my brows. Overall I will say that I will be a repeat custome. Might I add travel over and 1hr for the service from Greensboro, NC.
Avoid at all costs.
I bought my wife a Groupon for a mani/pedi here, and it was a terrible experience. We tried to make an appointment online, but their website didn't allow it. We tried calling the phone number and it was disconnected. We worked with Groupon to try to get a refund and they were able to reach the salon and they finally called us to make the appointment.
My wife arrived for her 3:30 appointment and waited over 45 minutes. When she asked how much longer (b/c she had other plans that evening), they said they were so overbooked b/c of the Groupon sale and told her that they would honor the Groupon after it expired if she would reschedule her appointment. The woman even wrote "Will accept" and initialed the Groupon before my wife left.
She went back for her rescheduled appointment today and they told her she'd need to pay an additional $25 b/c the Groupon was expired (despite seeing the initialed comment from the employee saying they would honor it). Needless to say, she did not pay and won't be going back.
I suggest that the management should spend less time writing fake reviews here, and more time improving the service of their establishment. The recent flood of obviously fabricated 5 star reviews is painfully transparent to anyone who has been in the door of your establishment. And it still only brings you back up to a 3 star salon. You might fool some people into visiting once, but they won't come back and that's not a sustainable business model.
Poor business practices. Poorly managed. Loud and rude staff. Avoid at all costs.
Best Place in the Raleigh Area For Nails. In July I purchased a Groupon for a mani/pedi at Studio 714 West. After reading many negative and scathing comments on this salon, I had almost convinced myself that I was going to forget about the Groupon and chalk it up to a lesson learned. I am very glad I decided to give them a fair chance. Today, I received, by far, the best mani/pedi I have ever gotten in this area. Ashley did an amazing job and was very easy to talk to. Some people have complained that the girls yell and scream back and forth at each other. Yes they do, and I was talking back and forth with them and with other customers in there today as well. It was like hanging out with your friends and it made the experience that much better. If you are looking for a spa type setting with the sounds of trickling water and Yanni over the speakers, this is not the place for you. If you want to go somewhere that is trendy, fun and fabulous....we'll you'd better come here. I also had to wait to get an appointment, but it is well worth it. I have already scheduled an appointment with Ashely for next month.
A Very Pleasant Experience. I had never heard about 714 West, but it sounded like a great deal for a mani and pedi on Groupon so I decided to give it a try. After having had one bad experience with Groupon from another salon I was a little worried that this would be the same. I was pleasantly surprised to find a very nice shop with very friendly and efficient professionals. Ashley did my mani and pedi, and she did a very good job. I will definitely go back, and I will ask for Ashley. The only down side was it did take me a while to get an appointment, but it was worth the wait.
A Very Positive Experience.
I was a little skeptical about going to Studio 714 after reading the negative reviews, but after going for the very first time I actually had a very pleasant experience. The shop was nice & the staff was nice as well. Ashley did a very good job with my mani & pedi!
I did not witness any staff members talking loudly across the room to each other as posted in one of the other reviews. Everyone was friendly & professional. The only downside I had was that it took a while to actually get an appointment. When I called for an appt, I was given a date that was almost (3) weeks out which likely occured because of all the people who bought the Groupon.
Overall, I have no complaints & will return. As with anything, you should give this business a chance before forming an opinion.
Don't Judge a Book by its Cover !.
I went to this salon thinking "Oh lord, Lets see how this goes," Since I read the reviews. But this salon was GREAT ! All the Nail Tecs are very nice, they all were very bubbley & had a great attitude. The salon is very cute and girly & is bigger than what it looks like on the outside. I had the Groupon so I got the shea butter love pedicure and the hollywood spa manicure and it was great ! my pedicure was done very good. My toes were sparkling !! (: But it was hard getting an appointment, but you got to understand 300 people or more bought this coupon too so all 300 people are trying to book and get in all at the same times. And I do blame Groupon for some of the confusing also because they should of warned the salon owner on how much business the Groupon brings.
So all I'm saying is, who cares if other people didn't have a good experience. You could, If I did!!. Just be open minded and give it a try! YOU PAID FOR IT.
