The best in town.... I have been going to Shag and Garnish since they opened, but I have been going Tana and Candace for over 10 years and they are hands down the best stylists in the Raleigh Durham area. They are crazy good with color. And unlike other places/stylists I've gone to, they are consistently good. Also, I always end up with exactly what I wanted when I came in. I know sometimes stylists will do what they think looks good and not what you actually want, but that is never ever the case with them. They are very intuitive and very good at giving you the cut and color you want. And I cannot go on enough about how excellent they are at color. I constantly get compliments about my hair. And to top it all off, you are NOT going to have to take out a second mortgage on your house to pay for your hair, because their prices are reasonable for what you get. I can't say enough good things about this place. The whole staff is sweet and welcoming and good at what they do every time I visit. You will not be disappointed!!!!

Hangin' with Friends. That is what I feel like with I go to Shag & Garnish...I'm spending a few hours with friends and as a bonus, I walk out with a great haircut and fresh, funky color. The atmosphere is very friendly and relaxed, but they still maintain a professional decorum.

It's always fun to see what new "do" Tana will be sporting when I come into the salon. Will she have a buzz cut, or long extensions, be a platinum blonde or a sassy red head. Her creativity with hair and the decor in the salon inspire me to try new things. I've been going to Tana for years and I consider her a miracle worker...I have fine hair that is hard to work with and she always has new ideas for a stylish cut that works with my hair and keeps me up-to-date.

I typically see Tana, but I've had experience with other stylists and they have all been great. I would highly recommend Shag & Garnish to anyone looking for an awesome haircut in a really cool atmosphere.

Happiness Begins Here. Tana can always come up with a refreshing color and hairstyle that I enjoy. On top of that, I enjoy the time I spend in her chair. She is someone who cares about me, my happiness, and my wants. I would travel miles to see her and have been doing so for about 6 years. Leah and the rest of the Shag & Garnish staff will help you feel like one of the family. Enjoy!

Best Raleigh Salon - No Question!. I LOVE Shag & Garnish. I've bounced around from salon to salon in Raleigh and was so grateful when a friend recommended Tana at Shag & Garnish. She is fabulous! I always leave with a great cut and fabulous color. The test of a good cut is that it still looks good 6 weeks later - that's definitely the case with Tana. I have friends who go to other stylists in the salon and they all rave about the experience. No more bouncing around for me - Tana and Shag & Garnish are stuck with me for the long haul!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!!. I absolutely LOVE coming here!!!! Everyone is super friendly from reception (Leah) to my stylist (Tana) to the people that wash my hair (Christine & Ray) and so many other friendly stylists. I am so relaxed and at ease when I come to Shag & Garnish. Tana always takes the time to consult with me before every cut and color. It is apparent that she has high standards for herself and her staff. LOVE it here... you MUST come visit!!!!!

A dynamic balance of hair yin and yang!!. I simply love the abmiance and atmosphere of Shag and Garnish. My stylists Candice is the bomb(dot)com and has been doing my hair periodically for at least 6 yrs at least Formally she was at a well known chain salon which was very professional, but when she changed salons...so did I. When you show up for your appointment, you will be greeted with a warm smile and even offered a complimentary glass of wine or other beverage of your choice. This is definitely not a "stuffy" or "uptight" environment, however they are very professional.

During my appointment, all I heard was pleasant chatter and laughter, indicative of the free spirits of the "gang" that work at the salon. They have a jewelry bar that boasts very unique and fashion forward, yet very affordable pieces. The place is so organic in nature and design. If you need a referral, don't hesitate to book with Candice, as I'm sure the other ladies and gents are equally as talented.

I found a home for my hair!

Love Shag & Garnish- Candice is AMAZING. I live in Durham and drive 40 minutes just to go see Candice at Shag & Garnish. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and the whole salons has this class-chic vibe. As someone with a hectic lifestyle, Shag and Garnish is an welcome escape- I always feel relaxed and excited about my hair when I leave.

If you're trying to decide on who to see - Go see Candice!! She is a color QUEEN, does amazing cuts, and a is great person to talk to while getting your hair done. I've gotten my dark brown hair highlighted and cut at other places before and never has it looked as PERFECT and natural as it does when Candice does it. I love Candice because she makes my hair look effortlessly amazing! :-)

I've had only fabulous experiences at Shag & Garnish and would highly recommend them to anyone in the triangle area!

The best my hair has ever looked. EVER.. I've spend YEARS looking for this stylist and this salon. Too many salons in Raleigh look chichi, act and charge as if they were, but you walk out with a Super Cuts style.

Tana is an AWESOME stylist! She'll do exactly what you want, but I find it's better to give her creative license. She is the professional, after all. For the first time in my life, my straight, thin hair has style and flair--and without me having to spend days on it. I don't know how she does it because no one has been able to do it before.

Also, the staff at Shag and Garnish rocks. They are so welcoming and make you feel like one of the cool kids as soon as you come in.

Go see them. You'll be happy you did and you'll be telling your friends to go too.

Hands Down the BEST Salon in Raleigh!. I am a long-time client of Tana (about 10 years!) and cannot recommend her or the staff at Shag and Garnish more. Everyone is so welcoming and customer-service focused that it feels like a day hanging out with your closest friends every time you walk through the door.

The level of service and talent are simply UNMATCHED in this area, and it's guaranteed you will leave feeling ready to take on the world!

Don't wait. Make an appointment. You will LOVE it at Shag & Garnish.

You will NOT be disappointed!. Hands down best Salon in town! I am super picky when it comes to getting my hair done and I have finally found the best of the best. Super chic atmosphere and Tana ROCKS! (Along with all of the other stylists!) I have tried several high-end, trendy salons around Raleigh and Shag and Garnish blows them away! I`ve recommended several friends to the salon as well and NO ONE has been disappointed. You feel like a part of the family when you come in the door! Promise you will LOVE it here!!
