Not Worth the Walk to Wilmington St.. This bar has unfortunately begun to fall downhill in the past year. It is located one block over from the Fayettville St. bars and about a 20 minute walk from Glenwood South. There are constantly spilled drinks and broken glass all over the dance floor, and no one ever comes through to clean it up. However, their bar is staffed well and you can usually get a drink pretty quickly, but they are often out of some of the wines and they never have decent drink specials. I have notice the next day on my credit card statement after running a tab the night before, that they add their own tip in addition to your own (I always tip 20%), so I would recommend paying in cash if the extra few dollars would bother you. No matter how empty the bar is, they always make you wait in a line at the door, letting a few people in at a time. The wait is usually less than 15 minutes so as long as its not too cold this isn't terrible, but to me that's 15 extra minutes you could be drinking and dancing somewhere else! Overall, the bar is alright but honestly nothing special. The decline in cleanliness over the past year combined with observed incidents of unprofessionalism from their staff, makes this bar not worth the walk away from the rest of Raleigh's nightlife.
