We were looking all over for an Acura MDX and after seeing several we saw " the one " at MB of Cary . I emailed them the next day and made a low ball offer that was refused but countered enough i knew we could do business. David Burr called me and we setup a lunch time meeting. He knew i was pressed for time and was able to get the deal done in 15 mins. We picked the car up 4 hours , all paperwork was ready. David was very professional and went over every option in the car with my wife and made us feel very comfortable.It may be years before we are in the market for another car , but I will look David up.

I recently purchased a used Mercedes-Benz, not at MB of Cary, however I have brought it there for service. All the staff was welcoming, very attentive, thorough, and made sure that everything that my car needed was taken care of and all my my concerns were addressed. Thank You to Mercedes-Benz of Cary for welcoming me into the family.
I am still seething over todays events... What happens tomorrow (if they fix my cruise control free) I may upgrade to two stars.....
I made an appointment on line about 10 days ago to get my oil changed and brakes checked and decided to try them out... Wrong Choice!
First and Foremost: Leith owns most of Raleigh's Dealerships..Be warned
I arrived an hour earlier than my appointment and told them I needed to be done by 2:30 pm....I arrived at 11:45 am.... He went over my car with me, I explained what I wanted done (oil change and brake check and make sure it was good to return to oregon)...... He tried to sell a Minor service for $189, but I declined... I am used to paying $79.95 for an oil change in Portland.. They charge $129.95 for an Oil change here at Mercedes Benz of Cary.... BUT WAIT! They also charge for a brake check (yes, $20 for them to take the tires off...).. I was taken aback but agreed to the service... I shoulda walked...
2 hours later I inquired where/what was up with my car and my paper work was sitting on the service writers desk un touched for like 30 minutes.. Ughh.. He then hands me a LONG list of issues.. Now, I know my car.. I know what can go wrong..I also know its been checked over twice during my 7000 trip... It was fine both times.. Needed front brakes but thats its..
I walked back with the service advisor to review my car with the technician... I am a gear head, so I do work on my own cars.... He proceeds to show me everything he finds.. First, my lower ball joints.. Yes one has a little play in it... Nothing bad, but needs some help.. I give them that one... BUT you don't need to replace both at once.. Esp at $500. Second my brakes.. This I know... There quote?? $600!!! That doesn't include repacking the wheel bearings... Which is a required mantaince item..Repacking the bearings is $400!! The he says my control arm bushings are cracked.... Um, you can't even see those with the dust cover on and they are a little worn, but for 130k miles, there fine.. $700 to replace those... Then my rear flex disc (its a mercedes/rwd car thing) is cracked... What crack?? Its a little dry and old.. But not cracked.... $500 for that... Oh and my left tail light is out... $55 for that... There was another minor thing for $100... He also had the plastic cover off my engine for some reason (dont need that off for an oil change)..
They hand me a total est. of $2,800.00 plus my oil change at $130.... What???? Really??? No way..After some thought, I told them I could get it done cheaper at another Dealer... They acted so suprised and shocked... Like I was full of BS... I kinda proved my point and they worked it down to what I needed and that would be $1228 and I could get a loaner car for the day... I declined....
It took them another HOUR to get my car back to me... To get its complimentary wash... I missed my first important work meeting and was late to see my client.
I stood out in there service drive trying to fix my burned out light bulb before I left, and only one person offered help... She sat in the car and pushed the pedal... FInally some one came out and said " OOoh you need a new tail light... Its not connecting right"... I was seething some so I left and when to MB of Raleigh and got them to explain what happend (it was starting to crack, but some one broke it removing the bulb...)
After stewing over this, I was driving back to my hotel and my cruise control doesn't work now... It worked fine before I brought it in to these clowns.. Now its dead... No dash lights, nothing.., No cruise control
SO now, I am out a tail light and my cruise is dead.... My car went in there fine and needing just brakes and wheel bearing service soon and came out a mess
I plan to go back tommorw and will edit my review once they get my cruise fixed...If not, BBB report will be filed and all will know what MB of Cary did...
GREAT EXPERIENCE – I recently bought Mercedes Banz GL 450 at Mercedes Benz of Cary, NC. The whole process was quite enjoyable and easy. The car salesman, David Burr was, simply said, GREAT. Very knowledgeable, professional and polite. I did not feel pressured to buy a car at all and his attitude just won me over. All my questions were answered, phone calls returned in a timely manner and the new car was in the pristine, show-ready condition when I pick it up. It was not my first car I have purchased in MB of Cary, and their professionalism and outstanding service always make me come back. I would highly recommend the dealership and David Burr to anyone who is interested in buying a luxury car at the great price.

Great Experience – Very simple, straightforward transaction. This is the third car I have purchased from MB of Cary and the best service so far.
David was delightful to work with - no hassels. Very open and friendly. Once the paperwork was completed he went over every detail of the car, paired my phone, and even got my Sirius radio account set up.

Mercedes Benz of Cary - David Burr – I purchased a car from MB-Cary on 2/20/12. This is the second car I have bought from David in 18 months and I wouldn't have gone to anyone else. I love working with David because I can simply email him and get him working on a car for me without any hassle. David is awesome to work with. He isn't pushy and doesn't try to steer me away from what I know I want. This dealership in general is very nice to work with. I love my service adviser Kim Fredlund so much that I drive all the way across town to get my cars serviced at MB-Cary when I could go to a closer dealer. Thanks guys!!
David Burr is Exceptional! – Recently purchased an ML from David Burr at Mercedes-Benz of Cary and was extremely happy with the experience. David was friendly and knowlegable. The whole experience from beginning to end was better than I could have hoped. If you are buying a luxury vehicle you must ask for David Burr!
Chris Newman really Helped me! – I just purchased a new car from Mercedes Benz of Cary after visiting all of the local luxury car dealers and after an extensive on line search. My budget was defined by the company that I worked for and most dealers were not interested in working with me. Chris Newman was really the only salesman that tried and he worked incredibly hard to get me into a beautiful new car at a very fair price. Chris saw the reasons why he could help me rather than why he could not. This purchase was by far the best car buying experience that I have ever had thanks to Chris and the other folks at the Mercedes Benz of Cary. Chris worked day and night to find me the car I wanted, he had it shipped in and then completed all of the paperwork in a very short period of time. I was treated very well, they were respectful and honest and they made this just a great experience. Thanks to Chris this entire experience went from something that I was not looking forward to, to one that me and my kids thoroughly enjoyed and by the way the car is awesome! If you are looking for a car, I suggest you go see Chris because he will work hard for you and he has been in this tough business for a while and knows what
Mercedes Benz Cary - Must See David Burr – WOW!! I'm now a Benz owner. I've been welcomed to the club by friends who are owners and the team at M.B. of Cary ROCK!! They made it simple. They listened to what our needs were, what we had to have, and what didn't matter to help get us in the right car for the right price. Our salesman David Burr definitely helped make this an enjoyable experience. Not only did they do an amazing job explaining all the fascinating features that the Benz has to offer, but they drove a car to my house after hours for me to see and they even listened to what my needs were with my 2003 Chevy truck and helped get me hands free blue tooth. It was a hassle free, no pressure experience which will make us a return customer.
Buying the car was very pleasant/ David Burr & M.B. of Cary – I am not the typical high end car buyer. I am a Toyota, Honda etc believer so this was the first "expensive" car I have ever looked at let alone purchase. When I first went to the dealership, the thought of parting with this much money made me less than thrilled but also a bit nervous as this just isnt what I enjoy. I first spoke with David on the phone and he could not have been more pleasant. When I got to the dealership to look at a car, I was quickly put at ease by David and his surrounding sales people. The next step actually made me feel welcome. At all dealerships I have visited, the "sales manager" is some mythical person that hides behind a desk and spews out the magic number. At MB, David introduced me to Mike and we went in his office and had a great conversation and some laughs. My point is they actually made the time to speak with me and make me feel comfortable at their dealership. It wasn't a faux sales presentation to just get me to buy a car (or at least I felt that way). They were two guys just making a living, having fun and showing me a car that I'm sure they hoped I buy from them. I did purchase the car and a couple days later received an email from the executive assistant asking how satisfied I was with them. I responded I was very happy with both David and Mike. I was pleasantly surprised when Mike emailed me thanking me for the kind words. This was unique because they presented themselves as unique individuals that appreciated my business. I dont feel that they gave me the canned thank you etc, they tried to understand me and what I wanted and actually listened to my needs. Wow! I was and still am impressed with David and Mike and hope I am able to do more business with them in the future.
