Great Food Good Prices. They have great wings, their burgers are incredible, and they have tons of really nice tv's. Great place to watch a game or grab lunch. Tons of good options on the menu so don't be scared to try them all.

I WILL RETURN. I went to the garner ale house for the first time the other night with my wife who is a very picky eater. We hardly go out because she has special needs when it comes to food. We stopped by this place on a whim and we will certainly be back on a regular basis. My wife had the salmon caesar salad.. SHE LOVED IT!! I had the bbq ribs. I LOVED THEM!! They just melted in my mouth. I ordered the half rack and wish I ordered the full, they were that good. The drink specials were good, a pitcher of beer for $6. We had a great dinner for less than $30.

The service was surprisingly up beat. Our waitress Courtney was very friendly and informative. When we told her it was our first time, she recommended some great choices. Thanks again Courtney!!

New Garner Ale House. My family and I went to the Garner Ale House while passing through NC. We were extremely pleased, and I came on here to comment how wonderful it was,and i was shocked that it had bad reviews. HOWEVER, it is under new managment and has all new employees. Everyone was accomodating, friendly, polite, and eager to please me and my family as customers. I was VERY pleased with The New and Improved Garner Ale House!!!!! :)

DEFINATELY DO NOT PASS IT UP IF YOUR IN THE MOOD FOR GREAT FOOD !!!

hope you all enjoy!!

Great staff; unfair manager. Witnessed a small exchange of words between a few patrons. The manager seemed to have taken sides for the 1 young lady that started the incident. It was unfortuante that he said something to the African-American women, but did not speak to the obviously drunk Caucasian woman. The latter was drunk and should have been cut-off, but I guess this establishment allows you to drink until the place closes no matter what. I may return because I enjoy karaoke, but not for much else.

Seriously.. How does this place survive ?. Went to this place 3 times back in 2008... each time it got worse.

The 1st time was o.k... the 3rd time my meal had skimpy portions. I've gotten more food at McDonalds or Wendys for $3 than I did at this place for $7.

I like being in a sportsbar atmosphere and would like to go to this place if it could be at least competitive with the Carolina Alehouse sportsbars...

But for the money , you just don't get a good deal here.

Absolutely terrible food and service. We went to Garner Ale House for lunch one day expecting there to be a large selection of beer, which there wasn't. We decided to get lunch there anyway. We ordered chili cheese fries, which were covered in tasteless chili. For our meal, he ordered a burger, which was undercooked, no seasoning, and a stale bun. I ordered fettucini alfredo and it tasted terrible and was completely inedible. The garlic bread that came with it was just a piece of white sandwich bread with butter and garlic on it. Terrible. We didn't eat our food and when the waitress came over, she just picked up our plates like she was used to no one eating their food. Just for the food the bill was over $40 and wasn't worth it at all. The other diners all looked just as miserable and their food sat untouched as well.

Not worth the price. My husband and I with our young child went to the Garner Ale House because we had a $25 gift certificate for it. We were hoping that it was like the Carolina Ale House in Cary, which we loved. In order to make use of the certificate, we had to spend at least $45 and have an automatic 18% tip.

When we first arrived, we were overwhelmed by the smell of cigarettes and cigars and the REALLY loud speakers. We asked for the non-smoking section, but it was just a small side room that had 3 large window openings that let in all of the smoke from the other room. We could barely hear each other talk during the dinner - it was extremely rowdy for a Thursday evening. There were several televisions blaring a game while a guy with a microphone yelled out trivia questions.

I had their ribeye with garlic mashed potatoes and mac 'n cheese (for my daughter). The ribeye was tough and chewy, while the mac 'n cheese looked like it was out of the box (like Kraft, but not as good) and the garlic mashed potatoes didn't taste garlic-y or buttery at all. I added a Scrimp skewer (for an extra $$) and specifically asked if it was spicy. I was told nothing I had ordered was spicy, but those were covered in some sauce that so hot & spicy I couldn't finish one. When I told the waitress this, she did nothing to remedy it other than saying it wasn't supposed to be spicy.

My husband had the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo. The chicken was bland and soggy, while the fettuccine was average. He also got Cheesy Bacon Fries - the cheese sauce was like a fake cheese whiz type though the bacon was good. We had their Crab Dip which was really good (the only real highlight of the night) but it came with weird smelling bread. My daughter had the kid's chicken fingers & french fries. While those were both good and came with a great honey mustard sauce, the size/portion was seriously lacking compared to the price. (2 chicken strips plus fries for $4.29, no drink).

There seemed to be only one waitress for the entire restaurant so it was really hard to get her attention when we encountered the problem with the scrimp and to get refills on our drinks. Again, she was not helpful or apologetic about the extreme spiciness of the scrimp and did nothing to remedy our displeasure. Had we not had the tip automatically added to our bill, we would have not been so generous since she certainly did not deserve it for the little service we received.

Even with our $25 certificate, we still ended up spending almost $40 for the meal. It definitely was not worth it and we will not be back. In my opinion, if you want good food at these prices, you'd do much better at the Carolina Ale House in Cary or an Outback Steakhouse.
