Highly Satisfied! A Service. I am one who is quite leery about trying new places for my hair but from the moment I spoke to Mrs. Grace on the phone I knew this is where I wanted to go. She is very professional, down-to-earth, and personable. I could not have been more pleased with my hair. I called on a Tuesday, had an appointment on Wednesday for Senegalese Braids. The speed and skill that she did my hair with is incomparable to anywhere else in the area. She is knowledgeable and will always be up front about what is best for your hair. Most braiding salons they just do your hair no matter what but she cares about her customers and is always honest; treats you like a person and not a $$$ sign! Seriously if you are considering getting your braids done, visit CCFA, you will not be let down! If I could add a picture I would but I will be referring her salon and visiting only her salon for my braid styles :). (On a side note, the customer's do come first as they offer refreshments and wine to their guests which is always a plus) When she tells you that you'll be satisfied, she is not telling a lie!
Very displeased with the owner!!!!.
I went on the website and read the reviews. After reading all the great reviews I filled out an information form on the website, not asking for a call back or anything. The owner, Grace called me two days later so I asked her about doing a sew-in for my mom and explained to her how and what she wanted on the phone, she said they could do it she even said they do the invisible part, But when we got there i found out differently and they don't do invisible parts. I asked her about doing kinky twist for me and she said they could do it also (never asking how long my hair was). She told me to go to her location on Western Blvd at 9am and she would come by to take a look at my moms hair and tell us which sew-in would be right for her before she go to her salon in Cary.
After finally finding the place, we had to sit and wait for someone to arrive and open the door it was around 9:15 or 9:20. When we went in the lights were out which I understood b/c of the storm and I think there were power outages in that area. The girl that opened up called Grace to tell her about the power outage and she got there around 9:45. After checking out the situatiion on the lights and lights still off Grace looked at my mother's hair and said they could sew it in but they are not licensed to cut, curl or bump it up, and they don't do invisible parts or styles they just sew it in. But when I talked to her on the phone before coming she told me she could do it and to bring a book or a picture of the style that my mom wants, so that is what we did. Now for me, she asked if she could look at my hair, so she felt in my hair and didn't say anything other than they did have the hair that I wanted. She left out to go to her other shop after taking the girls to the back to talk to them and taking one of them with her. After waiting there for another 30 minites I asked if anyone was gonna do my hair and that's when I was told Grace told them my hair was to long for kinky twist, it would take to much hair and they just couldn't do it (why she couldn't tell me that herself while she was feeling in it and before she left)... She never asked how long my hair was when I talked to her on the phone so I didn't think it would've been a big deal. I thought what she did was very unprofessional and I wouldn't recommend her to anyone.
I did find a place on Capital Blvd that did my hair and didn't have a problem with the lengh and I am very pleased. I also found a place in the same area that did my mother's hair the way she wanted it and she is very much pleased. The prices where cheaper also.
Best Service Ever!!!. I went to this place after reading various reviews in an attempt to find somewhere to go to get Senegalese twists. A co-worker of mine came in one day and she had just gotten hers done the week before. this salon came highly recommended. They were also the only salon that had hours that were flexible with my demanding work schedule. I called and made an appointment and was seen the same day. It took only three hours to get my hair done and the service was impeccable. I will definitely be returning to this place! Grace and her staff have left a lasting impression on me. I plan to refer others to visit this salon as well.
One of my best experiences yet.
I searched all over Raleigh, Cary, and Durham for a place to get my hair done. A lot of the places I looked at were either in a place where I didn't feel the least bit safe or the person I spoke with was rude or short with me. When I went to CCFab I spoke with two ladies. They were EXTREMELY helpful. They answered ALL of my questions and didn't make me feel dumb for asking. They showed me a book which told you what the price would be for getting braids of a certain size which was VERY helpful (This way I knew nobody was going to change the price on me).
I went to their Cary location to get my hair done. The lady who did it was named Mame (pronounced "Ma"). She was really friendly and made me feel very comfortable. The people here are so helpful and kind. I believe it took about 7 hrs for her to do my hair, but it looks GREAT! Such a wonderful quality of work. It has been about a month and I am still very pleased with how great it looks. The prices are DEFINITELY reasonable and they will reset and take out braids for no extra cost! This has been my best experience yet (and I have had A LOT of experiences).
AMAZING GRACE!!!. I met a young lady at a grocery store and asked her where she got her braids done. She told me that she got them done at CCF. I looked it up on the internet and saw all of the reviews. I called and spoke with Grace and she gave me so much information. I set up a consultation with her for the next day. My daughter and I made the drive from Pittsboro to Cary to see Ms. Grace. I was greeted at the door with a welcoming smile. Ms. Grace spent a lot of time talking with me and telling me what I could and couldn't do with my hair. She informed me that she could just do what I wanted and take my money, but she stood behind her service 100% and wanted to make sure that I was going to be happy with her services. I have never been to a braiding salon where everything was explained to me. Ms. Grace pulled out her book and showed me what I was looking for, I was able to pick out the size and look of the braid. She also gave me the prices so there wouldn't be any surprises when I got my hair done. I made my appointment and it was on and poppin from there. Ms. Grace met me at the salon and proceeded to put in my natural twists. My hair was fairly short, but she worked it all out. I was so happy that they weren't in so tight that I wasn't able to smile, cause believe me, when I got finished, I was grinning from ear to ear. When we finished, Grace showed me how to take care of my hair. She also showed me how to style it, curl it and everything. I have NEVER been to a braiding salon to where I got half of the service that I got at CCF. All I ever got was some too tight braids and a ponytail when I went to any other salon. I had such an enjoyable time while I was there. Grace had me laughing the entire time I was there. That's another plus, she actually talks to the customer!!! Never experienced that in any other braiding salon except when they wanted my money. It was such a great experience, and I'm looking forward to coming back again and bringing my daughter for a service. Grace, you are truly amazing and what you do! I hope that other salons step up or you will have all their clients knocking on your door. One more thing, Grace believes in giving back to the community by offering free services to women who are trying to get back on their feet. Customer Knows Best!.
I have been getting my hair braided forever and wanted to find a place close to school, as I'm not from the triangle area. When I came across this salon and all the pleasant reviews, I had to call and make an appointment.
Ms. Grace was very nice. She made sure I knew exactly what I wanted and even tried to talk me out of a bigger braid size for fear they would turn out bigger than I actually wanted (however, I was going for a 90s look). It showed she really cared. There was a newer worker in the shop and when she was taking a lot of phone calls while finishing braiding my long braids (that Ms. Grace had so quickly put in), Ms. Grace reprimanded her (nicely, of course). I've been to many braid shops where the braiders were on the phone, talking to one another, and completely ignoring the customer. Not ONCE have I ever seen the owner chastise a worker for it. This, right here, assured my return.
If you're looking for a great braiding experience, look no further than Customer Knows Best (which I accidentally called it to Ms. Grace. She found it hilarious)! But for real, stop reading reviews, call Customer Comes First, and get yo' head braided!
First Time Customer. Hi Everyone. Ms Grace is the consummate professional. I called and she took me right away for a consultation. We agree on the particulars of my appointment and I went back the next day. She was fast and efficient. I got tired as I am not used to sitting for so long to get my hair done, however we finished in the amount of time that she told me it would take. Her shop is clean and quiet. There was no profanity used either. A plus in my book! She is great with selecting hair colors for her clients too. She selected a perfect shade of color for me and I have gotten nothing, but compliments on my new look! Thanks Ms. Grace. I will be back again.
Customers Really do come first.. I called Customer Come First today at 9:00 am and I was given an appointment right away today at 11:00. I was taken right away without a wait. The owner gave me the best treatment ever. She is very hands on and she is also in to her customers. She has a personality that is filled with love and gold. I will never go to another shop. I am her customer for life.
The Customer Really Does Come First!!. This was the best experience I have ever had in getting my hair braided! I was so impressed with Grace and her winning personality. She ws so attentive to my level of comfort while she braided my hair and I love it!! I especially liked the fact that she did a consultation prior to committing to doing my hair, which is not something that is normally done at other shops I contacted. She chose the style and color and I am so pleased - the comments just keep coming from everywhere. If you need to select a new hair braider, please give her a call and stop by to let her "make you more beautiful"!
