Dead beat. This guy has stuck a local family owned plumbing company with a 885.00 bill. Warning VENDORS AND CONTRACTORS THIS GUY DOES NOT PAY HIS BILLS. He is a dirt bag. What gos around comes around
Deadbeat - writing bad check. The owner had been writing the bands he had playing there bad checks for 3 weeks before closing. He is not returning calls and has stuck his entertainment vendors to the tune of hundreds of dollars. All while dancing the night away with his girlfe3ind to said bands music.....what a guy.
Went to Buck's and ordered Nacho's described as follows:
"Loaded Chips Not for the feint at heart... or those with
arterial blockage issues. Crisp tortilla chips covered in ground beef & garbage dip, then smothered in cheese sauce & topped with sour cream. 7.95"
What we got was pre-made bag nachos (cheap ones) with liquid Pump Cheese and some "beef" and salsa. It was cold and lame. My 11 year old daughter could do better. I have had better Nacho's at the RBC Center or Walnut Creek Amplitheater (and that's not saying much). How about at least using real grated cheese and baking it all in the oven Buck?
We then tried the Pickle Chips wich where way too salty and greasy. Strike Two! The server was untrained and unhelpful. Thank god we were able to salvage our stop that night by going next door to Dos Taquitos and getting some real food.
So we tried again a few months later...during Cinco De Mayo. They were understaffed and it took way too long to get drinks at the bar. We ordered some Cheese Fries. They were soggy, cold and in the style of Ore-Ida Brand from Sams Club. Strike 3, Your Out!
Buck's is all "Smoke" and no Fire. I give it 1 Star out of 5.
Will it open again?. Does anyone know if and when Buck's will reopen? A sign on their door says they had a fire.
Great Food-Great Fun. Really enjoy the food and the atmosphere. The game room is a nice option and live music is great. Have visited a number of times. I'll be a regular. Nice job!
Some of the bartenders have an attitude. Some of the bartenders are extremely nice, and some others have a better-than-thou attitude. It would be nice if my experience was consistently good.
My family's new favorite hangout!.
My family and I live only a couple minutes from the intersection of Creedmoor and Millbrook where Buck's is located. A coworker had mentioned the place positively as both a good place to get a drink and a fun place for the kids, so the wife and I decided to try it out.
We showed up for an early dinner on Friday, and were greeted warmly at the door. We were seated near the back of the restaurant, right next to a Nintendo Wii, which was perfect for our 2 young children. It was nice to see such attention in the staff to our family makeup. There was also a bunch of space and other games in the immediate area for the kids to enjoy, including TWO ping pong tables. I had been expecting typical sports bar fare, but Buck’s surprised me with a menu full of variety, including the normal burgers and sandwiches but also some high-end dishes such as ravioli, ahi tuna, and a potato salmon salad (which my wife ended up loving). The food was very reasonably priced, particularly considering the quality and selection, and kid’s meals were a great deal with a main dish, side, and drink for only $5. The service was excellent, with our waitress and the rest of the staff seeming very pleasant. The owner even came over and chatted with us a bit, always nice to see.
After the kids had worn themselves out, my wife took them home while I hung around with a friend. We moved up to the bar, which really got going as the night went on. There was live guitar followed by a DJ who played the whole night. It was nice to see such adaptability in a restaurant / bar, I really feel like I could show up for everything from a kids birthday party to the Super Bowl and have a great time. There were some decent drink specials that night ($2 Coors Lights go a long way), and I really want to show up on some of the other nights, like Wednesday, where apparently everything at the bar is $3! All in all, Buck’s was awesome for both the adults and our kids, and my family and I will definitely be back.
I love this place!. I have lived in Raleigh for two year's and have tested out the nightlife and have tried to find nice and fun bars to visit, which has been difficult. My girlfriend's and I were going out to dos taquitos last wednesday and stopped by Buck's that's right next door. We had a really great time and the owner personally hung out with us and saw to it that our drinks were made awesome. We will definately be back for there $3 drink specials every wednesday, crown and cokes for $3,yes please!
One and only one time.
I saw Bucks once while shopping at Lowes Food in that plaza. I put it on my list for a new place to try out. The bar is small so I am not sure why it is called sports bar. The food was cold when it came out to the table and was nothing special. There are lots of bottle beers on the menu but if I wanted a beer in a bottle I would have pick up a 6 pack from the store. I go to a bar for the drafts which they have a poor selection and are overpriced.
Really, I was just not impressed.
Fantastic Food, Drinks & Atmostphere!!!.
Excellcent and unusual bar food choices. Personal favorites include the Chicken Pot Pie, Snapper in a Bag and the Grilled Romaine Wedge. Regarding bar food, don't know how they do it, but the Hot Italian is out of this world as well as the Fried Bratwurst.
The bar layout creates a cozy, comfortable location in which to enjoy the wonder live music. I love the wide range of drink selections.
The game area is a lot of fun and ping pong leads the way.....
Have been hear a number of times now and am pleased with the whole experience. Will continue to come back.
