Raleigh >Automotive Sales & Services > Meineke Car Care Center
Your the man. I took my 68 Mustang to this shop and Tristan did an awesome job on completely doing my exhaust from the headers all the way back, with top of the line parts. The price was very reasonable. The quality of the work was very professional. The new management at this store has taken this shop to higher levels. They also offer drinks and snacks as you wait on your vehicle.
Best Automotive Care In Raleigh.
I took my car to Meineke on Millbrook Road to have them do a FREE brake inspection. Not only was it free but they were so informative and showed me my brake pads and showed me what new one's should look like. I had no questions regarding the work that was done. This store is under new management and based on the past reviews on here I can definitely tell that some huge changes have been made.
The girl sitting at the desk inside was nice enough to offer me additional coupons/savings on the entire brake service and I saved so much money going there.
I definitely would recommend this shop to everyone. Ignore the bad reviews and give the new guys a try! I'm positive you will be as happy as I am right now.
I wish I had read these bad reviews before going to there. Went there for a brake fluid flush only bacuse it was time. Brakes worked fine before they did the flush. Now Brakes are horrible. Soft and do not stop the car. Spent about $100 for this. I was told there was no warranty afterwards. Got in touch with the Corp. office. They are no help at all. Worse than the shop. DO not go there to get any work done. Beware..
Meineke Used Wrong Part - Destroyed my car!.
Do not go to Meineke on Millbrook (or anywhere) for any reason! A simple oil change destroyed my vehicle!
The crew over at Meineke at 3421 Millbrook Rd was apparently not competent enough to put the right oil filter on my vehicle. The filter fell off and my engine ran dry- well over $8,000 in damages! The worst part is that they are denying that it is their fault, even though I have all the evidence you could ever want to prove that it is! Have filed a complaint with Better Business Bureau and am in the process of working with local news station about these guys. Now I have to hire a lawyer- what a pain.
Unless you want to put yourself in a similar situation, I have to highly recommend that you stay away from Meineke, particularly the one at 3421 Millbrook in Raleigh. Even something as simple as an oil change from these guys can cost you some serious headaches and money. There are other reputable people out there- save yourself some trouble!
Almost Ruined a New Car!. I took my new car for an oil change because it was cheaper than the dealer. They left the cap off the oil and it spilled all over my engine. When I went back to speak with the manager I was told he wasn't there. Even when another employee said he was outside talking on the phone another employee told me he was out sick. Don't trust these people. The office was also filthy and the bathroom was disgusting.
Professional, courteous, and good diagnosis. I took my Nissan Altima 2002 to the Meineke here. I already had a good idea what was wrong with it, but not sure how to fix or cost. Meineke offers a free exhaust inspection so I went there to see if it was a small fix or a big fix. Turned out to be a big fix, but not unexpected as these models have a history of the catalytic converters failing, so I suspected that was the problem. But, they told me which one and how much and even though I don't have the money for the fix, upon researching it I find they quoted me a very fair price. So, I am one step closer to resolving this issue and if I had the money it would have been a fair deal. The fact that they did this for free impresses me and I will go back for other car care as I decide whether to junk car or not as it is not a good model, IMO.
Charged too much cost.
I took the car for inspection on Saturday at the shop, they told me that there were two problems with my car and I have been noticing my car that week as it was giving me problem and my Service Engine soon light was on so I knew that there was some problem with my car. They were good at diagnosing the problem and told me about the part they would be needed. I took the car on Saturday so they told me the parts shop was closed. Every thing was working till then, but when I reached my home and gave a indicator to turn and it was acting funny. At home I saw that the bulb of my indicator was broken which was working good when I took the car to the shop. as I was supposed to bring the car back on Monday so
I bought the car back on monday to do the repair but had a chance to check the cost of the part they have told me which would need replacement. Online on many stores the maximum price of the filter was 195$ of the best OEM. The store charged me 375$ for a OEM part and when I asked which OEM they used, he just mumbled something, but didn't tell me the OEM name or showed me the pack of the part. I believed it was a total rip-off as he just charged me 200$ more on just a small part. The customer service was good but they didn't repaired my indicator light and said that they cant do it because it was broken, but it was their fault but I was not in a mood to argue so I just left. They did a good job, but I think they just ripped me off with that charge on a filter.
Editorial Review. More than just mufflers, services include brakes, steering, A/C and basic maintenance like oil change, tune-ups and tire rotation.
Great Customer Service. This is the first time I brought my vehicle to Meineke off Millbrook. I had been hearing some popping sounds comming from the front of my lexus SUV. The gentleman Daniel explained to me that I needed front struts and that the mounts were going bad as well. I had him service my transmission fluid as well as the struts and it was $400 less than I was quoted at the dealer. He was very polite and took great care of my vehicle. I also let him service my sons car after that and will continue to come to this meineke from now on. HIGHLY RECOMMEDED!
CUSTOMER MISTREATMENT TO THE EXTREME. This was my first and last experiance with Meineke (ironically one of the first times I didn't check Citysearch reviews before going somewhere like this). As expressed in the above account, I was yelled at several times by the store's manager, Mr. McCauley, because he said that his credit card machine kept declining my debit card. I called my bank and found out that they were not recieving any transmissions to say that the card was being swiped at all, meaning it has to be a problem with his machine. While on the phone with my bank he was given several suggestions, including manually typing in the card number rather than scanning it, which he refused to do, while demading we pay him several hundred dollars in cash instead. He would not give us the name of his supervisor or a customer service number. After a good deal of arguing with this man, he finally did what the bank suggested and the card went through just fine. He was so rude that the man I talked to through my bank called me back a few minutes later to get the store manager's information so that the bank could file their own complaint about this individual.
