I arranged to have these guys move me. I was very clear with them that I needed a piano moved from a 2nd story apartment to a house. When I called 3 days before my move to confirm everything they suddenly decided that they could no longer move a piano from a 2nd story apartment. This left me looking for another company last minute. I spoke with the owner and told him that this was disappointing and I would be reviewing them online. He told me I couldn't do that because they never moved me, he then said, "I'm taking you off the schedule," and hung up on me. DON'T USE THESE GUYS! They are not professionals.
BEWARE!!!!!!! Our movers "allegedly" stole money from our home and now say they never saw the item in question when it was moved into our new home and we did not move it b/c we obviously forgot to pack this item (which should not have been touched/moved at all b/c it was not packed or secured, the representative at the office told me before hand they were only allowed to handle boxes, furniture and tubberware containers). The local office is not doing anything to rectify the situation. I have done what they told me to with filing a police report. My husband and I feel very violated by this company. Two of the three movers made references 4 times about being tipped. This move(with 3 men) from a 1 bedroom apt cost more than my relative paid to have a 3 bedroom house moved (with 2 men). Overall this experience with Two Men and a Truck has been a nightmare.
Eh..... There are some more reviews on Google Reviews that captures various problems. But basically I think a lot of problems depend on the crew you get and/or how they quote you. I ended up paying almost double for a move because of a poor estimate. You think they would do what it would take to get the job done...but if you don't get more men...then it takes longer and you start paying for each 15 minutes or you pay for more men to help do it in a shorter amount of time. I liked the first crew...second crew not so much. Just wouldn't recommend them.
Wow! They were great. I was skeptical hiring a company I didn't know. But what a great experience. They were on time, dressed well, polite and curtious. ALL my furniture was wrapped and padded. They were patient with me while I decided where some of the furniture should go in my new place.
Bad Experience with Two Men and a Truck. Memorize this line: Two Men and a Truck suck! They damaged some of my stuff during the move. I filled out a damage report with the mover and was told that an area manager would contact me in two business days to investigate/resolve. Well it's been three weeks and I've made more than 5 phone calls plus e-mail, and no one will return my calls or respond to my inquiry about how they plan to reconcile the situation. They even lied to my credit card company and stated that they didn't have any paper work on me, even though a damage report was filled out. Very dishonest company. They will call you aggresively to get your business, but once they damage your stuff, their service goes out the door.
Suberb Company. We have moved several times in the past and with many companies. This was our best move yet. The office was upfront and knowledgeable. The movers were on top of their game the entire move. They to great care of our property! I will be calling them if we have to move again in the future. Not sure why all the poor reviews below, I have only great reviews for this company.
Another Great Move!. We have used this same company before and had great move with them. Once again they made the experience a great one. The 2 guys that moved us were polite and efficient. We felt that we were working with trained staff that knew what they were doing. I would highly recommend this company
Great Experience.
We had such an awesome experience with this company!
The office staff was helpful and reassuring when we called with questions or concerns. The moving staff was professional, courteous, and experienced. They made a very stressful time easy to handle!
We will call this company again and again. I have already recommended them to a friend!
DO NOT HIRE THEM! HORRIBLE!. Well for starters they were 5 1/2 hours later than they said they would be at the time of scheduling. They sent 2 young men who took an hour and a half to put a sofa, coffee table, end table, kitchen table & chairs, bed, chest of drawers and washer/dryer into the truck. We then headed what typically takes 12 minutes in 5:00 pm traffic (took them 35 minutes) to the house to drop off the furniture. It took them another hour and a half to unload it. While in the process they dropped and broke an antique chair (irreplaceable) and stated that they would file a claim and have someone come out to fix it (was unfixable). After 4 days of not hearing from them I contacted them and to my dismay found that they were only going to refund me $12 for the chair. Needless to say I spent close to $400 for them to move the few items and ended up with a broke chair only worth $12. Save your time and money and rent a Uhaul and haggle friends to help you. It isn't worth the time or money wasted on this shitty company!
Not fully satisfied.
At the time, I thought they were doing fine. They showed up on time & got things done quite quickly. And because they were only moving the goods 1-2 miles in town, I didn't think I'd need any extra insurance. Even with that short distance though they damaged something.
They wrote out a damage report & said someone would call. Nobody did, & finally I had to call. I found them to be not very responsive. And I don't think anything should be damaged on such a short drive. It was a very easy move, & their service complicated it.
