Raleigh's best Mexican food. I have been eating at Fonda since it opened a few years ago and i must say, it is by far the best quick service Mexican food in the Triangle! The torta ahogada is super spicy and delicious and the pozole is amazing! My personal favorite is the chicken or carnitas sopes, which are thick fried flat tortillas with Mexican cream, queso fresco, cilantro and onions. Try the salsa verde! Ok, so there may not be chips on the table at this place, but what does that matter when the portions are so large? No one needs the extra calories of chips anyway! Run to Fonda y Birrieria Jalisco!

The best Mexican Restaurant in Raleigh. I've been going to this restaurant for a year now and I love it! I've tried everything in the menu. I recommend the tacos and Pozole (a soup). I also love the cleanliness of the restaurant, and waitress is always attentive.

Best Mexican Restaurant in Raleigh!. My wife and I decided to try Fonda Birrieria Jalisco for dinner tonight, and this has go to be the BEST Mexican food since I left Texas or visited Mexico!

It is just outside of 440 and off of Falls of Neuce in a new shopping across from WalMart on Ronald Road. The shopping center done not face Ronald Road and you actually enter the parking lot from Forest Ridge Road. It is very tastefully decorated and has seating for about 20-25 tables of four or six people per table.

We started off with a large plate of Cheese Nachos, and then my wife’s Fajitas Jasisco; Beef, Chicken, and Shrimp grilled with jalapeños, onions and tomatoes came. It looked, smelled and tasted great. It came with fresh flour tortillas as well as rice and beans and a side of lettuce, tomatoes slices and sour cream. She ended up only able to finish half it was so much food. I had decided to try their Tacos from the Grill. I got four, two Carne Asada (Beef), one Al Pastor (Marinated Pork), and one Carnitas (Fried Pork). They were served on about four inch fresh corn tortillas. I do not typically like corn tortillas, but these were delicious!

We have found the only Mexican Restaurant we will be eating at in Raleigh!

Great AUTHENTIC Mexican food. My Mexican friend took me to this restaurant for lunch and has been raving about the authentic tacos. This is not your normal American style Mexican restaurant (although I think you can order these items if you want) so keep that in mind. The tacos were absolutely delicious! They come in soft, FRESH tortillas...I loved the carnitas and chorizo tacos topped with cilantro and onions. Very tasty and a good value! The atmosphere in the restaurant was casual and fun. Highly recommended!
