Be wary before getting extensions here. Please be wary before getting extensions done here, especially as a Caucasian woman. I was lured in by the seemingly low cost of extensions compared to other Raleigh salons. The extensions looked beautiful after they were done, but when it was time to remove them the glue that was used ended up pulling out literally about 1/4 to 1/3 of my hair. I had them professionally removed, and it was extremely traumatizing to have bald spots after having them taken out. I then sought out another salon to redo the extensions to try to cover up the bald spots, which put me out over $800. I'm pleased with the new extensions but am still having to work to cover up the spots where my hair was pulled out with glue. I wish no ill will towards the owners, but think potential customers should be informed before risking the health of their natural hair here.

As the owner of Metro Style, I personally apologize for this experience which took place in April 2010.
Metro Style's post care guidelines strongly recommends our clients to never attempt to remove their lashes on their own. All clients are required to return to a licensed stylists/esthetician to have them professionally removed via our post care process.

An surprising oasis in an unexpected site.
I wasn't sure what to expect when I entered Metro styles,
but I was very pleasantly surprised. This new venture should do well. It is very tastefully done, excellent service.

The Best Straight Razor Shave. Valerie opened her shop outside of normal business hours to hook me up with a cut. You don't get that from other barbershops or salons.

What can I say.... Valerie is such a great person. She treats everyone like family and her business reflects that attitude. If you want to be pampered and well cared for then she is your person!

Old men and young men BEST BARBER SHOP EVER. This is not just a barber shop, this is something special. I have never experienced this type of treatment before and I am 66 years old. The best treatment I have had in Raleigh and I have lived here since 1986. This is world class and you dont just find service like this, it is a once in a lifetime experience.

Amazing Environment and Professional Staff. Highly recommend the shop!! The spa is quiet and comfortable and the expert staff are friendly and willing to answer any questions you have. The owners of this establishment really know how to run a business.

Quality and Style.
I have been visiting Metro Styles Barber Spa, for more than a year now, before they moved in the new place.
