Dr. Meyer was our main Dr. but we also met with Dr. Couchman and Dr. Park several times. They all are nice and very professional. I felt like my IVF medication was being monitored closely, so I felt safe and confident that it would be effective. Dr. Meyer always answered my emails quickly whenever I had questions or concerns. The staff there are very friendly and sincere, especially Keesha. Her smile and kindness just made this tough procedure a little bit easier for me. Overall, we had a great experience and we can't say thank you enough to everyone there for helping us. We had been trying for years and went to several places. I'm glad we came here. We highly recommend Carolina Conceptions.
Love Dr Meyer! I was a patient at Carolina Conceptions for over a year and a half, having much luck with getting pregnant and bad luck staying pregnant. Dr Meyer was my main Dr and he was always very thorough, paid attention to detail, and was funny and easy to feel comfortable with. After all of my losses he was attentive and made us feel like he genuinely cared. I never felt pressured into any procedure, protocol, or to take any certain medicines. I had multiple appts with him, multiple IUIs, 2 HSGs and 1 surgery while I was under his care and everything always went smoothly, on time, professionally, and I was always taken very good care of. I was very annoying and asked a lot of questions and emailed him all the time and the fact that he didn't throw me out the window shows how patient he is. He always responded right away to my emails, even at night, on weekends and when he was on vacation. I also had a positive experience with the other Drs, nurses and staff. I had flawless experience with finance, and never had an issue scheduling, rescheduling, wrong appointments or getting a call back from the front desk staff. I am now 5 1/2 months pregnant and my road has not been easy but I am thankful that I had people like Dr Meyer to help me along the way. My only complaint about CC is that they don't offer OB care! I will definitely go straight back to Dr Meyer for any of my future fertility needs.
I had a horrible experience with Carolina Conceptions from the beginning. On 3 occasions I would show up for an appointment and they would have no record of it. I, once had to wait 3 hours to see a doctor because they accidentily canceled my appointment. Dr. Meyers was my doctor. Initially he performed no tests on me as I already had a child. After 2 months of timed intercourse, one IUI that he performed, and 2 consultations in his office he suggested an HSG. As he walked into the examination room to perform the HSG, he asked if we had met before. I could not believe it! The HSG was unsuccessful and I then needed surgery. During one month of monitoring I went 4 times only to be told at the end that I had too many eggs and to stop treatment. During my last month I scheduled an IUI. When my husband and I went, the nurse brought me back to the HSG room after stating that my husband could not come because they were in a rush and started preparations for an HSG. She had no idea why I was there which is unbelievable to me. Dr. Meyer did come in and ask me why I was here!! I will never go back there again and I won't recommend this place to anyone else. Even had I become pregnant, the lack of attention to detail shown by the doctor, nurse, and even front desk staff was more than I can bear given the amount of money we were spending.
Words cannot explain how wonderful our experience with Carolina Conceptions has been! Dr. Park is very respectful to his patient's wishes. He also responds to emails very quickly and answers all your questions. Carolina Conceptions was there for us threw ought our journey and made our little miracle possible.
I am 38 years old and after trying for
over a year to conceive baby number 2, my OB/GYN referred me to Carolina Conceptions. I met with Dr Park and told him what my husband and I were willing to try and what we could afford. He came up with a plan that we all agreed on and sent me off to see the girl in financial. I am fortunate that my insurance company covered most of the cost and with a little planning and my flexible spending account, we were able to afford it.
I saw all three physicians throughout my time there, but mostly just saw the nurses and front desk help. The ladies up front knew me by name and were very tolerant when I brought in my active 2 year old. The nurses, especially Kim, we're extremely friendly and supportive. I always got a straight forward answer to my questions and a response within a few hours of calling.
On my last visit, I got congratulations and good luck from all the girls up front. Dr Couchman confirmed my pregnancy via ultrasound and told me to call with any further questions or concerns as she released me to my OB.
I would recommend Carolina Conceptions to anyone who is having trouble staring their family. I may even use them again if we get crazy enough to try for baby number 3!
HSG. My OB/Gyn referred me to Carolina Conceptions for further testing as we are having trouble getting pregnant with our second child. We had a consultation with Dr. Meyer. He is very personable, extremely knowledgable and straight forward. Which I appreciate. He recommended an HSG. This test had been discussed when I was trying to conceive my first child but I got pregnant before I had it. Needless to say, I was very nervous after reading reviews online about this test. I am writing this review to assure everyone that there is nothing to be afraid of. Dr. Meyer prescribed me ultram to take 1 hour before the procedure and I also took 600mg of motrin. Dr. Couchman performed the HSG and I didnt feel a thing. Honestly, a pap smear was more uncomfortable. She explained step by step what she was doing and you are able to watch on the monitor as the dye pushes through and highlights your tubes and uterus. It was a very neat experience. Everyone at Carolina Conceptions, from the front desk, to the physicians, have been wonderful. I highly recommend them to anyone who is having trouble starting or growing their family.
I came to Carolina Conceptions....
I came to Carolina Conceptions because another fertility program suggested after one IVF cycle that my husband and I needed to do eggdonation. Carolina Conceptions put me on DHEA, CoQ 10 vitamin and flared myovaries with mini doses of lupron. For one week I even used a testosteronepatch. I produced many more eggs and got pregnant with my first attempt at CarolinaConceptions. I even had embryos to freeze. The doctors seem to know the newest ideas in the field and the nurses are the most gracious in explaining everything. Don’t hesitate if you have problems and don’t give up until you go to Carolina Conceptions

Wanting to make a buck!.
After going to them for a year and not having any luck becuase of certain protocols, I transferred to another Doctors office.
Since then I have been trying to tie up lose ends like get my money back for prepaying for services, no one returns my calls, no one gives me any information. They want to charge you for every little thing, and they do not work with you. Customer service is HORRIBLE!!!!!
It's just another business wanting to make a buck! there is no personal service, there is no concern, just want to fill their pockets.
Couldn't ask for a better appt!. At 28 years old me and my DH have been trying to concieve for 4 years with a few set backs including blocked tubes:( I had surgery to repair tubes in 2010 and unfortunately it did not correct them. So after a year of trying medicated cycles and an IUI we decided to seek further help @ Carolina Conceptions. My infertility doctor where I live refers people to this clinic and we are so blessed he did! We were fortunate to meet with Dr. Park who was very personable and made us feel very comfortable. He took one look at my HSG and said that both tubes were dilated which is translated to hydrosalpinges. I knew I had one tube that was dilated, but we were told both were which led Dr. Park to tell me that before we proceed with IVF those tubes have to be taken out due to the toxic fluid which spills out into the pelvic area causing it to be an unsuitable enviroment for a baby. We were thrilled to hear some confirming information on why we couldn't concieve. I always trusted the Lord, but medically speaking their was 0 % chance of concieving. So we were told that after I have surgery to remove tubes we would be perfect candidates for IVF. Very exciting news. I might add that every ? we had Dr. Park answered them the best he could. The staff was amazing and took great care of us. We had an awesome experience at CC and can't wait to start our IVF journey in a few months. Thank you CC!! God Bless all of you!
Carolina Conceptions wasted 6 months of my life. At 36, I tried for over a year to conceive. Without any luck, I went to Carolina Conceptions. I enjoyed my experience at first. I went through three months of "timed intercourse" and taking fertility drugs to increase our chances of conceiving. But after six ultrasounds (all performed by the nurse twice a month) and HSG (performed by doctor), I still wasn't pregnant. I decided to get a second opinion before I tried IVF (which they suggested we try next). During my first ultrasound at the other fertility clinic, several fibroids were discovered. Why did Carolina Conceptions not see this obvious "road block"? Why did they continue giving me fertility drugs? I spent over $2,000 out of pocket! IVF would not have worked and I would have spent thousands more trying it. I suggest always getting a second opinion and not settling with the first advice given to you. I also suggest you insist on having the doctor present during the ultrasounds. Know that HSG is a dye that sits on top of possible problems and a better procedure is to use saline (for clearer results).
