Cosmic Staff, Magical Drinks!. five stars to this wonderfully kept coffee house that offers the provisional coffee beverages, pastries (from hereghty heavenly delicious) and to-go sandwiches. the staff know their customers by name and remember their regular drink orders. both food and drink are delicious, the shop is always neat, and there is ample seating upstairs.

the only drawback might be for the newcomer trying to find the shop for the fist time; the shop has only semi-permanent signage. it's located on the first block of hargett , between wilmington + fayetteville streets (and next to the raleigh times).
