Cary >Sim's Bar & Grill
Avoid at all costs!.
In August....My friend John went to SIMS one day for lunch and told us about how cool it was inside...pool tables, well decorated, etc. So one evening, John, my fiance, and I went to SIMS. It was a fairly new establishment and John was right. It was gorgeous inside and very well decorated!
The waiter took forever to wait on us. It then took forever to get our appetizers, which were luke warm to cold by the time we got them. My fiance ordered a meal with chicken. The waiter then came back to ask how he wanted his steak prepared. Baffled, my boyfriend just stared at him and then said "Didn't I order chicken?" So then when he finally got his meal, it was completely wrong. (The soup was good though.) The wings were nothing to write home about. In fact, they were very puny and tasteless and cost $9.99 for 12 of them. We also got pretzels, but the cheese sauce to dip them in was cold and hard, so it wasn't very convenient for dipping. It's hard to imagine they could screw up a soft pretzel, but they did. It was apparently one of the frozen kind that you microwave. It still had frozen spots in the middle.
The bartender didn't know how to make a drink that I ordered off the menu, so he improvised and it tasted HORRIBLE! It was overpriced too. They were out of beer that was supposed to have been on tap. The beer they had on tap was overpriced.
I wrote to the restaurant via email the next day to tell them about my bad experience. I did receive a reply indicating that the manager on duty had been let go and that changes would be made. She indicated that prices as well as the quality of food would be changed. She apologized for my negative experience and offered us a free meal. It's now November 1st and we've had no desire to take Tammy up on the offer of a free meal.
In conclusion, the prices are too high and the quality is too low. I don't recommend eating here.
