Triangle's Top Japanese Restaurant. This is without a doubt the best Japanese restaurant in the Triangle. Not only is the food prepared fresh, but the presentation is awesome! The staff could not have been more helpful and very prompt!…
Best Sushi Restaruant!!. My daughter had a birthday party at Hayashi. The food was wonderful and the chef was nice. The service was great. Very kind people.
Sushi Chef is RUDE!. The food is okay but the rotten attitude of the fat sushi chef is ridiculous. He was so rude to my son and me that I will never go back. I am not surprised about the lady having difficulties using a gift certificate because they act like they are doing you a favor by letting you eat there.…
Best sushi I've ever had!.
Okay, for you people who don't like mayo: don't order rolls with mayo! Duh. I don't eat mayo, and I have never encountered it at Hayashi because I read the descriptions of the rolls! The Dragon
Roll is my favorite by far. LOVE the quality of the sashimi, and the slices are very thick...not like the 2cm slices you get elsewhere. The Bento box is the best deal I've ever heard of...you get basically one of everything (tempura, sushi, sashimi, unagi/teriyaki, spicy shrimp, and an orange) for about $20. You can't possibly get that full elsewhere.
The owners are great. The servers are great. Sure, it's a little slow when it's busy, but that's life. I wouldn't ever go get sushi in a rush anyway...want to slow down and savor it!
Only con is that the lunch bento, which is about the right size for me, isn't available for dinner. Guess I'll have to eat there twice in a day!…
Best Sushi in Raleigh area. You are made to feel welcome from the time you come in to the time you get ready to leave. You are never rushed and the wait staff is very attentive. We have eaten at just about every sushi restaurant in Raleigh, and we now only go to Hayashi, even though it's a 45 mintue drive to get there. The menu is extensive and everything always tastes good. The chefs are more than accomodating if you have any special requests. We have taken several of our friends here from all over the area, and they all frequent Hayashi now - even those that live in Clayton. Great atmosphere!…
