Some good, some really bad.. When Pei Wei opened up, we were so excited about having a great gourmet Asian restaurant in North Raleigh. And when we first started getting take-out, it was soooooo good. Unfortunately, it has really flattened out for us. The lettuce wraps are still yummy, although the last order we got were a lot greasier and seemed to have been sitting up for a while (the 'crispy' rice noodles were very soggy and oily). But overall, they were still worth the o.k.

What really prompted this review were the chicken salad wraps. Absolutely nasty. I guess they had prepared them in the morning or yesterday or something. They were soggy and sticky. The 'blend' of ingredients was just not good. The 'peanut' sauce was quite odd, to be as nice as I can. I cannot recommend this item, in fact, I just don't understand WHY they would put this on the menu. Yuck. I guess Dalat spoiled me with their 'Dalat Shrimp Rolls', but seriously, how hard can these things be to make??

I am not giving up on Pei Wei yet, but if they keep on this track, it won't be much longer....

Awesome Asian Flavors. If you like PF Chang's you will love Pei Wei. They have a really large and varied menu and the price is right. The atmosphere is great as well as the service. This location is the second one we tried after trying the one at Brier Creek (busy and disorganized) we love the Raleigh location, but our abosulte favorite is the one near the Cary Towne Mall. The food here is perfect and the service can't be beat.
