Unmanaged Pet Owners, Dog waste every where, Noisy

The pet policy at these apts is not enforceable. The property manager and the lead leasing agent(older woman with wihite hair) are uncariung and unyeilding in enforcing the pet policy for pet ownes to clean there dog.cat waste. At the leaing buidling, the stairs leading to the 2nd level, pet owners leave dog wate on the side walk and at the base of the stairs forcing residents and visiotrs to see it and walk around it. The waste cans are over flowing on the exterior fronm residents leaving trash they take fromt heirs cars instead of taking in their apt to dospose of. At Bldg. When the waste cans were removed the pet owners let pet wase b ags tied to the fire hydrant and the apt cleaning staff left the wate to hang for a week before cleaning, only after I notified them that it was still present.

I have notied the leasing office, the leasing agents and the proprty manager of the issues at least 6 times in the past several weeks and they stil have not done anything to resolve the issues. I was told i should tell pet owners not to leave their pet waste also to take pictures of the offenders. This would create an altercation of which the proprty management should deal with.

There are some residents that repair their vehicles in the parking lot, the police see to be in the complex regularly after hours leading me to believe there are issues that are not good at the property. I discussed this with the leasing office and they said that i shoudl contact the police odept for furtehr info oin the issues and nuber of calls to the proprty.

TThe pet owners are now simply allowing their pets to release utine and feces on the side walks with no regard to how unsanitary and nasty it is.

The gym is not cleaned on a regular basis, some residents are filhty and refuse to clean up after themselves, and the management does not enforce the policy of no pets in the gym of which i complained about and they stated that was handeled, 6 hours later inm in the gym and the pet owner is there with his dog as well.

The noise is high in the apts as well. As soon as my lease expires I will be leaving and seeking new residence. Until then I am logging a compalint with the proprty owner regasridng th eissues noted above that the proprty manger and leasing agents can't or won't reolve. If you have an interest in this proprty i strongly suggest you walk the grouds on your own and may talk to some of the residents as you see them on the property, I dont recomnmend this for living.

Dog Poop Heaven

There are lots of pros;

1. Clean apartments with thick walls and floors. Very quiet.

2. Nice pool, volleyball, grill error.

3. Nice movie room noone ever uses.

4. If your poor and don't have internet you can use their office setup. (how are you affording the rent?)

5. Good access to the greenway.

There are also lost of cons;

1. My biggest pet peeve is the dog poop. The pet owners here disgust me. They don't take their pets to a dog walk area or the provided fenced in play area to poop. Every time I enter or leave the building, someone has their dog pooping right next to the sidewalk next to the entrance. Thats a lot of fun to watch! I guess they are too lazy to take it across the parking lot. They usually make a half-hearted attempt to pick it up (in case someone is watching) but don't EVER walk on ANY grass! The smell is horrible.

2. Residents dump their apartment trash in the hallway trash bins. Just too lazy to walk to the dumpster. It sucks walking out of the elevator and see the trash bin overflowing and household trash stacked next to it. The management has been unsuccessful for 3 months in stopping it.

3. The gym sucks! It is a disgusting germfest. The towels must be 10 years old though it does get laundered regularily. They have been out of the wipes to wipe down the equipment after use for about 9 weeks now. Germ wary residents use the last remaining hand soap dispenser and paper towels they are providing instead.

Many of the residents have ZERO gym ettiquete and don't use towels and do not put any of the equipment away. Residents with kids will bring their kids to run around and play while they work out which is very irritating.

They don't seem to be doing any preventive maintenance on any of the equipment. The 2 ellipticals are adjusted totally different so their work level numbers don't match. The 3 treadmills are the same way with the incline on one of them being broken for over a month. The treads on the treadmills are beginning to curl on the edges.

I suspect the owner is having cashflow problems because they certainly do not neglect the landscaping like they neglect the gym.

4. There are firedoors in the hallways of each building. In our building, they waited till January to disable the magnets so people would stop propping the doors and letting the freezing air into the halls. Its now in the 60s most days and they haven't re-enabled the magnets so the halls are getting stuffy with the doors closed. Residents are using rocks to prop open the doors to let the air flow.

5. The cardboard dumpster clearly says to break down all boxes. There is always a stack of boxes next to the dumpster that people didn't break down. Are the residents stupid? Why bother recycling the cardboard if your going to not break it down?

6. There seem to be a few residents that are groups of workers. Not trying to be racist but the management needs to screen the residents a little better when they have more than 2 adults.

In summary, this is a great place to live as long as you don't hang around. I try to come and go at odd times to avoid all the dog poopers.

LOUD

the noise above me is insane. i moved here thinking that it would be quiet working professionals - I have NO idea who the heck lives up there but i think they might be lumberjacks that work out of the home. it's a beautiful apt., but I can't even work from home anymore b/c of the noise. there are apartments and townhomes for rent where no one lives above you or at least apartments with cheaper rent where i can at least get what i paid for.

• Pros: pretty apt
• Cons: loud

pay too much for noise levels

noise levels rival those of a dorm room (e.g. Bass from stereos, people yelling, guitar pratice, etc.). certain level of noise expected in apt., but not normal walking and living sounds. pay too much for that kind of lifestyle, can't work from home anymore b/c of it.

too bad b/c very attractive apts., good location, just too loud (and I'm not a crazy person)

Also, there are A LOT of dogs with owners that allow them to go #2 everywhere & not pick it up, huge problem, can't even walk in the grass here.

• Pros: great looks, great location
• Cons: noise and huge proliferation of dogs

Simply the best!

Weston Lakeside was a wonderful renting experience. From day one my family and I felt like we were on vacation living in a resort. The pool, the grill, the clubhouse, the walking trail with free bike rentals, it is amazing. Now after nearly a year, I still come home and feel like it is such a relaxing treat. The apartment, the amenities, the groundkeeping and the staff are all excellent, not to mention the ample parking! It was my first home here in NC relocating from NYC. This experience made me feel welcomed and so happy that my family and I made the decision to move here. To wake up in the morning and stand on my balcony with a view of the lake has been priceless. It is worth every penny and the service and attitude of the staff makes it worth so much more. Thank you Weston for great memories and a great start to a wonderful future here in NC. I am moving on to make a purchase but I will always receommend this complex for anyone looking to rent. Five stars for real!

• Pros: Quiet, clean and serene. Can't even hear any dogs barking.
• Cons: If you don't like dogs, you will be uncomfortable because so many people have one.
