Exceptional and highly recommended caterers!!!

I cannot thank Kevin and his team enough. Cannot cannot cannot thank them enough... From menu creation to presentation it was phenomenal. We worked out amazing items, nothing was ordinary. The dishes looked like works of art. The entrees of filet were cooked to perfection; not one single complaint. Guests were absolutely blown away and it was better than the level of perfect I dreamed up in my head.
Just one of a ton of highlights: I asked for "chocolate cones" that fit into champagne glasses and Kevin found them in NYC. He delivered and it was at a very reasonable cost. He refused to say no as I think many other caterers would. It made my wedding unique and he took on the headache so I wouldn't have to arrange shipping or anything.
If I could carry Kevin around with me forever I totally would-- he was THAT fun, easy to work with and dead on with every last detail. And the waitstaff and cooks rocked it. They don't disappoint but a lot of caterers can do that... They went the extra mile and amazed and over delivered. I will recommend them forever.
Thank you guys from the bottom of my heart!!!

Took the folks to 1705 recently - the decor/atmosphere was great, the greeters were very nice and courteous, but the overall experience was just average. First I ordered the flank steak (or was it flat iron?) and they took the order, then later told me they were out. Kinda weird since there appeared to be about 5 people in the restaurant, but ok. I ordered a burger, and a side of asparagus. Turns out they were out of that too. Or as the waiter put it, "Well, we do have some asparagus left, but we're saving it in case someone orders Steak Oscar". Wow, thanks dude. Glad you put hypothetical customers who might not order a particular dish over the customer already sitting there.
The Lobster Risotto was VERY generous with the lobster, but was way too greasy and salty. We also ordered roast chicken, which basically tasted like Boston Market covered in ham and cheese. Yeah, I didn't understand it either. I ordered a hamburger cooked rare (totally my fault - i was just shocked to see a restaurant cook it rare for you and curious to try it) and needless to say i spent the rest of the night in the bathroom. Totally my fault though.
Seems kind of ridiculous to say a gourmet steakhouse is overpriced, I know. But...it's overpriced. There shouldn't be any place on earth where a cup of hot water and a bag of tea is $4. If this sounds like a deal to you, by all means enjoy. But there are better places to waste your money (It's Prime Only or Angus Barn are still the best)
so many better choices

Just do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Waiter just wasn't with it, like he was on mars. Food was just average and not near worth the $.
- Pros: good variety
- Cons: poor service and average food
Great service

Very private, excellent service, great key lime martini's. This was a company function that required quite reserved service and timely presentation.
- Pros: Ambience
- Cons: Small
birthday
by stacey2006 at Citysearch
i made an online reservation and requested a birthday cake for my boyfriend. i expected a small cake that they already had on the menu but they prepared and actual birthday cake. Pretty cool from never talking to an actual human just making a note on my reservation.
