Worst New Year's experience ever!. I waited for almost an hour in the rain to get in at the ESS lounge and they finally came out to tell us that the management won't let anyone in before 12:00 anyway so we went across the street to Nana's Steakhouse the atmosphere was way better, we ordered a drink only to find out that ESS eventually let people in so we finally went across; we had to pay $20 per person to get in and there were people who had actually paid $45 to get in before that. I later met someone who got his tickets online for $10. The music and atmosphere was not worth $2. The DJ was playing stuff from the 80's that sucked even back then! Guys were pushing girls on the dance floor (there were more men to women anyway) and some guy ended up passing out. I ended up ruining my expensive brand new shoes while waiting and getting soaked in the rain for a horrible night. The staff was unapologitic. All in all it was the worst new years party I've ever been to in my life and I'm not going back for anything there again. ESS gets a VERY low grade for thier first grande New Year's event. With this attitude they're not going to last long. Clubs come and go and this one is already on it's way out!
