Service so bad we left without food – This is for the creedmoor road restaurant - but since it doesn't have a separate listing, guess I'll review here - sounds like it has all the same problems as the wakefield location.
We went on a Sunday night around 6:30. Parking lot was sparse, no one was at the desk to greet us. Waited 5 minutes to see anyone. When hostess finally showed up, she seated someone who had arrived after us without even asking who was next (I will admit that is not her fault that rude other customer pushed her way into the front as if she owned the place). We were given a table in a back room with only one other table full. They tried to seat 5 people at a 4 person table even though there were dozens of empty tables around. We waited for 10 minutes and no one came to our table. The other table did have a server and they took a drink order. One of our party went to ask where our server was. A server came back in the room a few minutes later and proceeded to ask the other table for their drink order (again). Then he left again, still without acknowledging us. I guess we were invisible. So, we got up and left. 5 minutes of being ignored at the door, 15 minutes of being ignored at the table. Amazing that some restaurants don't care about service, especially in this economy. Maybe that's why there was almost no one in their restaurant. I can't wait until they go out of business and something better moves into the location.
Italian Food at it's Best! – I love Italian food and found this place by accident. Really expect to go there again whenever I want "real" Italian cusine.
Mediocre food, Overpriced – Ate there the week of Feb 15. Food was below average, average flavor but indifferently prepared. Price is WAY above average across the menu, by as much as 50% for some items. Service was OK. Much better choices elsewhere for this kind of food.
Creedmoor is making a come back!!!! – Had dinner this past Saturday night...service was dead on and the food was amazing. The pizza is always great but if you have not had a "feature" dish you are missing out...awesome.
New Falls of Neuse (Wakefield) Best Gianni's, best Italian Food in Triangle, great service. – New Falls of Neuse location highly recommended. Food consistency is outstanding. Servers are knowledgeable, friendly, conscientious and timely. Wine list features wonderful Italian and Californian wines. The food is phenomenal and the "Specials" are something to look forward to. All of the staff is extremely kind, from the girls at the front door to the young Manager we always see smiling, greeting tables and working hard. This restaurant is usually very busy and in any busy restaurant that features made to order food you may have to wait 5-10 more minutes than you would at Olive Garden or some other chain restaurant. But, it is well worth the wait. Gianni & Gaitano's New Falls should have 4.5 to 5 stars especially considering all of the 1 stars I see on City Search for New Falls are not even this location! Creedmoor, Triangle Town Center and "Rocco's?" all received 1 star on this locations review! We all know different locations are run differently and this location is run the best, has the best food, and has the best service. Go to Gianni & Gaitano's New Falls (Wakefield) in confidence!
unimpressed and not worth it – The first time I came this restaurant I wasn't overly impressed by anything and I thought the pizza and the service was ok (I've had much better of both). Our server didn't really talk to us just asked us what we wanted and even when we asked for advise about the menu, he just said "stick to the pizza" (???) so needless to say, we did and we went on w/ out evening. The next time I went in it was just crazy... it was the middle of the afternoon (around 2 pm) and not much was going on, yet we had to wait for someone (who was not the hostess but a busboy I believe) to sit us down... then they sat us in the wrong section and made us move. On to of that our food was terrible... my friend had the chicken parm and they forgot her pasta and as for me, they brought my food out about 10 mins after my friend had gotten hers (and still no pasta for her). I was never impressed by the service there and this just did it for me... I also never felt like the food was all that good so I do have to say this... it is NOT worth what you pay, even if you're getting the best service.
Excellent---The best Italian food in the triangle – For me,the best way to judge a Italian restaurant is their sauce.Well G&G is number one.Every dish that I have had was done perfectly, pasta always aldente, meatballs air light.Service always attentive.
My favorite is chopped salad and grandma's pizza.South of Arthur Ave (The Bronx),G&G is the best.
Making a huge turnaround – Last year this place was everything you want in dining out, the food and service was fantastic. A few months back this place became unorganized with service that was lacking and management that was non-existant. One of my friends stopped in one evening a few weeks back and raved about the complete experience. My wife and I went there last week and were pleasantly surprised to see the place had done a complete 180 degree turnaround. The food was excellent as it always was BUT the pleasant atmosphere and the great service made it an absolute delight. The most impressive part of the experience besides the food and service was the tall thin young man who introduced himself as Matt. ( I don't remember his last name but it was Italian I remember that much) He appeared to be young but very knowledgeable and extremely concerned about our overall needs. Many of my immediate circle of friends has gone there since then and have high praise for the NEW Gianni's and hope that the management keeps up the great job!
This place has gone down hill! – When we first moved to Wake Forest this restaurant was great. It wound up being our place when we ate out we would eat there, when we ordered out we ordered from there. Now we don't go there at all. The dining rooms are dirty, the restaurant smells musty, and the service is horrible. I will say the food is still good but when you want to go out and relax and be waited on...this is not the place. The "last" time we were there with our family....after waiting 20 minutes at the table we asked for a server, we ordered drinks from the bar that took another 20 mins. and then the waitress tells my father they are all out of one of the liquors that goes in his drink so needless to say he didn't get one, we ordered 2 apptzrs that came out separately, no bread and we even asked for it. The prices have gone up a few times and my advice is if you're going to increase your prices customers are expecting a good dining experience...this restaurant does not deliver.
Overpriced and ordinary – Wow, ever booked a really good hotel and felt you landed at the local Motel 6. This was the food version of that. High prices and ordinary food and service pretty much says it all. Service was awful. Food wasn't cooked properly. I let them know I was underwhelmed with the whole experience but their management was very unresponsive, almost zombie-like. Skip this restaurant and save your money for something worthwhile
