I hated this bar!! I was willing to deal with the rude people that frequent this place until I got my tab.. A) I work in one of the most expensive venues in Raleigh, so I know prices. But a double Stoli should not come to $14. B) There were extra shots on my tab that I did not order, when asked, the bartender asked if there were different guys putting stuff on my tab! To which I replied NO, there should not have been! He just looked at me like I was crazy. Sorry, but I feel that unless the guy looked like his name was Amber, they should not have let him put things on my tab. Basically, I had one drink, 2 beers, and 2 shots, and I walked out with a $60 tab! They didn't even try to help with the problem, basically if someone uses your name there, you are screwed! In my opinion, (and at my bar) if you start a tab, its YOUR tab! Random people cant just throw drinks on it. Worst service ever. I will never go back.

This place is pretty cool. I thought it needed a 5 star boost because It really is a pretty good, fun and trendy place. I liked the bar (the actual bar) it's pretty cool. This place is like the MUCH better version of Rush Lounge (which closed) I haven't been to what's replaced that one yet.

i've never once written a review online, but i was reading all of the reviews below and i just had to respond. all of you are ridiculous, and clearly can't handle the fact that a place that should be in LA is in raleigh. ergo why one of you recommended hibernian & hi 5. last time i checked, no patrons at mosquito had on sandals, but all of the college kids i've seen at hibernian wear nothing but. "tanningqueen", what do you suggest? for them to put a port-a-john in the middle of the dance floor? of all the places i've been in raleigh, mosquito is one of the only places packed to capacity at 1:45 am. one night i was there and the owner came over to the group i was with and served us champagne. the owner is there every night and mingles with ALL of the different crowds. it's a very diverse place, full of character, all different types of people and groups go there. in response to your expensive drinks complaint- what do you expect? all nice places you go are going to have costly drinks. if you want cheap, go buy a fifth of Aristocrat and get drunk before you go out. why don't you take into consideration all of the white suede couches they have there that they probably have to replace every 3 months? or the fact that on salsa night they have a buffet of cuban food. or, some nights you don't even have to pay to get in. none of you "reviewers" had anything relevant to say. if a bartender did something to your drink, please by all means let everyone know. but everything all of you said is a "complaint" that is found at all clubs. no matter where you go you're going to see sleazy people, and chances are they could be thinking the same thing about you. or maybe, they're too busy having fun to care. stop wasting your time complaining.
