Joey is a hair magician. I see Joey at Salon 54 (now located at Falls River). He has taken my lifelong unruly, uncontrollable, frightening masses of hair and made it straight, smooth, soft, and manageable.

After years of hair "professionals" being dismayed at the amount of hair on my head and it's incredible thickness and curliness, I decided to have a consultation with Joey as a last ditch attempt for some control. It was the best thing I've ever done. He was knowledgeable and confident (and not the fake kind). I felt good about doing the Japanese straightening. You should see the before and after pictures! They are amazing. Go to the website, look it over, ask to see my pictures (I'm Laura).

My 5 year old daughter now sees him (she has the same exact hair issues I had). My cousin sees him as well. If he ever retires, I will have to shave my head and wear a wig (I've done it before).

If you are looking for someone who can do all types of hair from your very thin to your very "ethnic" Joey is the man.

are you still in business?. I just want to know if you are still in business. The website only says Joey works there, and I was wondering if this salon was still being used. Since you've not had any hits, I guess I should just ask. I've been checking salons around Raleigh that are up to date with chemical services.
