Great food, Poor service & Follow Up. My coworker and I ate here for lunch. The buffalo chicken sandwich and meatloaf platter was amazing - not to mention some of the best restaurant mac & cheese I've ever had! Unfortunately the service was mediocre to poor. The server, who may have been the bartender, was not very attentive and sneezed and coughed while sitting at the bar as the restaurant was not very full. He did not wash his hands after that. Once some apparent regulars came in, we could barely get him to return to give us the bill. Nice that you're friendly with the regulars, but give great service so that you'll attract new ones.

Not that this was the worst thing of all, but I emailed the management to let them know of our experience - the good and the bad, because I believe in honest improvement - we NEVER got a response, even after I called to inquire about the email.

Please work on consistent service...

Always good. We eat there probably two to three times per month. The food is always good, and even when the restaurant is full, the service is good. Good food, good atmosphere.

Yum!. I had the meatloaf. I never order that but got it because of another review. So delicious!! My husband had the southwest salad which he loved. The server made me a drink which was delicious. Overall, a great Friday night experience!

Fabulous neighborhood bar - great food, great atmosphere, great service. Food is great; atmosphere is homey and cozy and the service is great!

Not many bad things to say about NR Pub! It's one of my favorite places to grab some "bar food" and a drink! Great nachos - have never had a bad meal here.

Meet the bartender Kevin and it's an even better time! Makes you think that there is a "Cheers" bar in N. Raleigh. He's takes great care of his customers.

The only negative thing I can say (and it is a big one to me) is that it can get smoky in there because it is a smaller pub than most. I would prefer that they would make it totally a non-smoking facility.

Best kept secret in North Raleigh. I met a friend at NR Pub just before Christmas and I was sold after 10 minutes. I never even knew the pub was there although I had been to Tiramisu next door. I love this little bar and I've been back 3 times since and hooked quite a few of my friends too. They have fantastic food, its reasonably priced and the service is exceptional. They have a great bar, a few pub tables and a small dining area. Three flat screens behind the bar and they always have the game on. The only potentially negative thing about the place is that its so small but I dont think it is a bad thing, personally. Perfect place for happy hour, a date, or martini night. I definitely recommend this place and will be back many times in the future.

The Best Place in Town.... Wow. What a pub! I love this place. I went once and I was sold. It is small and cozey. You walk in and though you are in tight quarters it does not feel at all cramped. Classy yet not what so ever pricey, this place is top notch. '

The food was absolutely terrific. I have had the meatloaf and the BEST REUBEN in town so far. Oh my God, you will not believe the tease your mouth experiences with every bite. From salads to french fries, these guys got great tasting food wrapped up and delivered both times I have had the pleasure to dine there.

The service is quite house warming. The waistaff, barstaff, and hostess staff make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. I was very impressed. You have to be crazy not to want to dine or DRINK in this place. What a beautiful bar too!! Oh my God...JUST GO. LISTEN TO ME. GO! GET AWAY FROM YOUR COMPUTER AND FLEE TO NR PUB!! Email me and let me know what you thought!! Hmehr82@yahoodotcom

Best little secret in town. NR Pub is awesome! It is absolutely my favorite restaurant in Raleigh. The place is tiny (7 tables in the dining room, plus a half dozen in the bar), but the intimate atmosphere is the best part.

Surprising is the breadth of the menu - a huge variety and the food is fantastic! Everything i perfectly prepared, and we highly recommend the Cajun shrimp appetizer, the tilapia tortilla, the Pub Club, the Blue Cheese Filet Mignon (very reasonably priced!), and even the kid's Chicken Fingers... The attention to detail is superb - even the french fries are always perfectly crisp and served hot. You won't find a better priced filet mignon, and the quality rivals that of the highest end steak houses.

The wait staff is exactly what you hope for in a little local pub - nice, friendly, and they remember you when you come back. By our third visit, the waitress asked if we wanted "the usual" and then brought everything out, just as we wanted.

I've recommended NR Pub to a ton of people, and everyone has reported they loved it to. It's the perfect kind of place - one of the only restaurants I've been that makes me want to come back every week.
