Raleigh >Bliss Salon
Our unique boutique-style at Bliss Salon has attracted a discriminating client. Accordingly, Bliss Salon has clients that literally visit
from many parts of the U.S., coming specifically for their hair cut and hair color service. Exceptional one-on-one customer service, attentiveness, technical savvy and being regionally recognized is what makes Bliss Salon unique and worth the visit!
Bliss Salon offers full hair color, cutting and styling services. We use Wella as our hair color line of choice. Many clients come specifically for hair color services and corrective hair color. We cater to clients with short hair as well as long hair.
We will be teaming with Nick Arrojo, stylist from TLC?s "What Not to Wear," for on-going continuing education and training at their New York City training center.
Bliss Salon is located two blocks off Glenwood South on Saint Mary's Street in Raleigh. …
Superb salon! Small but classy.
Superb salon! Small but classy. HANDS DOWN, QUALITY, SERVICE, TECHNICAL ABILITY!
Was very impressed with the owner, Rhonda. Extremely professional and knowledgeable. Had a cut and color and the highlights came out well.
Was treated well. I was surprised a bit when I called to make the initial appointment when she told me she books 6 to 8 weeks out. Wow.
I still decided to make the appointment, was very glad I did. I can see know why she is booked. Highly recommend this salon. Superb customer service, very fair I thought pricing considering what I have paid at other high end salons in the area as well as in my travels in New York,
Incredible service! The best stylist in Raleigh!.
I have lived in Raleigh for 7 years and had not been able to find someone that I like to cut and color my hair, so I went from salon to salon. I found Rhonda at Bliss on CitySearch, so I thought I would give her a try. She is amazing! From my first visit, she made me feel like I was special. She spent time asking me about my lifestyle and what I liked about my hair to make sure I got a great style!
Every time I visit her, she gives me a "consult" to make sure I like my hair and to talk about what I want to do with it. She gives me extra time and attention and I always feel like she really cares. I never feel rushed and my hair looks fabulous!
I used to have to color my hair on every visit to a salon, but Rhonda recommended I do less color and I am so happy! She is saving me time and money and my hair looks great! Because the cut is so great, I can even go longer between haircuts! I am so happy that I found Rhonda!
Thank you, Rhonda! You are the best!
From Bliss....WILL CHAMPAGNE HAS MOVED..
Bliss Salon would like to announce that Will Champagne is no longer at Bliss. Will has been a delight to work with. He has moved to his "Curl Lounge". Please ensure that no reviews are posted for Will at this time. AS FOR BLISS SALON....
THANKS for a GREAT 2010. We have rennovated the front of Bliss and hope you will like the look and style. Feedback has been superb so far. Additionally, thanks for being voted in the top 10 of Citysearch "BEST SALON" and "BEST COLOR" for 2009. Ronda has and will continue to attend the very best training with Nick Arrojo (formally of TLC's What Not to Wear) in NYC!
Great!. William is great and truly knows how to cut and highlight curly hair. I will only let William do my hair now. I tried another stylist closer to my house last weekend who claimed to be a curly hair expert, but now my color looks drab and she cut my hair while wet and razored it down the sides to give it "layers"...not cool. I wish I had walked out and drove straight to Mr. Champagne. I will be calling him for a fix. I am just so disspointed that I dropped $140 for another stylist in Cary that I am VERY disspointed with. Tear.
Most compliments in my life.
I always enjoy my time with William and know I will walk out looking great. He strives for excellence EVERY time and pays attention to the details, such as making sure I'm not color stained (I stain VERY easily). My eyebrows also look great after he finished, not like "Oscar" on Sesame Street.
Best of all, people stop me and compliment my hair, both cut and color. William does great red hair and my curls are finally an asset, rather than something to tame. My hair looks good on more days than not with minimal effort, a first in my life. No more mushroom head for me. Humid days are welcome. Thanks a bunch, William!
Will has done a great job while at Bliss! He will be moving to a location adjacent to Bliss in the near future to accomodate his growing clientele. Bliss Salon wishes him the very best.
William. I have to say that I thought William was the best thing that happened to Raleigh until he became popular. As time passed, his prices became outrageous ($90+ for a touch up color) (come on; we're in Raleigh!) and the quality of my hair color went down. By the time I left - a year later, I had 3 different shades of brown. If you do see him for a color, expect that it will take at least 2 hours for a TOUCH UP. Also, he will work in the cost of his time into this price. I will say that he knows how to cut curly hair but no better than other stylists in the area. (So I gave him 2 stars.) Styling is ok but very few people can style curly hair, so I don't hold that against him.
A few remarks if we may. Will Champagne truly CATERS to everyone of his clients. We see this time and time again. If spending "too much" time with a client or performing a service is a good or bad thing, that of course is an individual opinion and we at Bliss respect that. Will is an independent contractor. His expertise in curly hair has without a doubt, a local and clearly a regional following! As for Bliss, we are increasingly busy in a time where other salons are "giving away the farm", so to speak with deep discounts, coupons and gimmicks. Follow Ronda through this year as she partners with Nick Arrojo, star stylist on the hit television show "TLC's What Not t Wear" with Stacy and Clint. Ronda will be attending the Nick Arrojo Training Center in SOHO, New York City for advanced coursework in cutting, design and color. Thanks to our clients for a truly outstanding 2009, the best year yet!
Wow, what a great experience. After struggling thru several bad haircut experiences... I am referred to an artist! I am going to keep this short and to the point. Ronda is amazing, she took the time to find out what I wanted and why, then she explained how it would look with my hair. She was the first to ever consider my lifestyle when cutting my hair. As a working mother, time is precious, I needed something easy to work with at home. I am also trying to grow out an old cut. It has been a couple months and I go back this week, I am so looking forward to another great experience. I can't believe how well the style held up and how lucky we are to have such talent here in Raleigh. I am soo thankful I found Ronda! She fixed things that I didn't know had a solution! Way to be at the top of your game!
I can't help but gush about William Champagne to everyone I know.. William Champagne is an amazing artist. He is never in a rush and always makes me feel like a goddess. I was happy to be the first client he used his most recent Deva class techniques on and the results were absolutely fantastic! I LOVE my hair!! I appreciate the peace of mind I have, knowing I'll be very well taken care of every time I go to Bliss Salon. It is worth every penny, every time!
Thank you very much! This comment comes to mind with your review...."an environment unlike any other, the strength of the designers" (Ronda and Will). The question begs "why is Bliss experiencing unprecedented growth while other salons are closing, or offering deep discounts, coupons and deals"? We truly believe the answer is customer-service, technical ability and a passion for the art of hair design. Currently regionally known in the United States, the interest in our "micro-salon" is now growing to a national level. Our focus will continue to be, regardless of headlines or a story here or there on superb customer-service and one-on-one attentive service to our clients! Thanks again for the very nice words of support.
Happy Hair. Trust someone new to do your hair?!! Ronda gained my trust within the first few minutes of meeting her!! I recently moved back to Raleigh from out of state and was going thru much angst hoping to find a new stylist to trust to do my hair. No worries about the move but much anxiety about my hair!!! My former hair designer found Ronda and Bliss thru reviews like this and put her as one of his top recommendations! Ronda has done magic and I am thrilled!!
Responding to this appreciative review a bit late. This is because we have been very very busy with new and existing clients! During this holiday season, Bliss Salon wishes all the best for 2009. The observation is this; we receive alot of solicitations for Bliss to advertise and more specifically to "offer discount coupons and offers". Of course any business owner would say this is a good idea, considering the economy we are in. However, the truth is this....Bliss has experienced more new clients and return clients that we are swamped! We had made a comment a few years ago and it rings true today....offer the client (who by the way is VERY VERY smart and savvy) the technical ability, the "experience (WITHOUT the drama) and the one-on-one customer service they desire....and you don't need coupons and discounts and bells and whistles to get someone in your chair! As always, thanks for the wonderful review, Bliss appreciates it!
