Tips for Nirvelli Day Spa

This honestly has to be one of the single most disorganized places I have ever been. Nightmare!

Great spa, also provides chiropractic services. I sent my wife (new mom) here for the day on her birthday with their four hour massage, facial, mani/pedi package after reading the reviews on this site. The staff was fantastic, they treated her great and even set out a little spread of food I had prepared for her while she was getting her pedi. She also has lower back issues and has been going there regularly for the chiropractic visits (and the occasional massage) ever since.

Great place to relax!!. I recently had a pedicure from An and a massage from Tracey......the pedicure was the best one I have had in a long time. The massage was very relaxing and if you're looking for a deep tissue massage like I do Tracey is the one for you!!!

Less Than Mediocre. Like many of the other reviewers, I used a LivingSocial coupon for my trip to Nirvelli Day Spa. I received the coupon as a Christmas gift, and tried to make an appointment shortly thereafter. I had to call the spa about 6 times just to MAKE the appointment! I left multiple messages to try to book the appointment. I was even on a "Wait List" just to book the appointment! I understand they are busy, but geesh. I would have just skipped it, if it wasn't for the gift certificate that I had.

Anyway, I finally booked my trip. My gift certificate was for a facial, massage, and pedicure. I arrived 15 minutes early on the day of my appointment, and was told that the massage person was out sick that day, and that I would need to reschedule the massage part of my package. I wanted to reschedule all 3, because I was really looking forward to a spa day. I was told that I could not reschedule because it was less than 24 hours notice... what the heck! They rescheduled my massage, but I couldn't reschedule my other services?

I had my facial, and it was okay. I've definitely had better facials. The girl was very nice, but didn't do a great job at the facial. She would put something on my face, and then just sit there for a few minutes. I'm used to getting more of a face, head, and neck massage during the facial. She also didn't do any sort of extractions, which I usually expect with a massage.

After my facial, I had to wait an hour for my pedicure, because I was supposed to have my massage next. So I was pretty irritated while just sitting there for an hour with nothing to do.

Finally, it was time for my pedicure. The pedicure guy was AMAZING, and was the saving grace of this whole experience. He gave me the best foot and leg rub I've ever had, and was super nice and friendly without being overwhelming. I really enjoyed the pedicure.

I returned a couple weeks later to get my massage. The massage was decent, but again, not the best ever. I also felt like it was shorter than advertised. The massage began about 10 minutes past the hour, and ended about 15 minutes before the next hour. I was expecting a 50 minute massage, but it was just 35 minutes.

I will not visit Nirvelli again and do not recommend it.

An amazing experience. I went to Nirvelli Day Spa to use my gift certificate that my son gave me on Mother's day. It was for a Summer Detox Massage. My massage therapist's name was Ella. Let me just tell you, that was the best massage I have EVER had. I used to go to a spa in California every other week to get a massage but she was by far the best I've had. The staff there was great also. They were friendly and as soon as I walked in and signed in I was taken to the back comfy couch to wait for Ella. I have recommended this spa to my friends and hope that you will go as well!

would not waste my time. I have waited 4-5 months now to write this review. I waited because I was going to give the owners the chance to do what they said they would do. Or just simply call me and apologize. But they haven't.

I was given for my birthday in October one of the living social vouchers to this spa. I called & of course it took me awhile to hear back.

I finally scheduled an appt. It was scheduled for a Saturday at 4pm. The Friday before I woke up with a scratchy throat. It got worse; I work at a hospital so I had them do a strep culture. I developed a fever & the culture came back positive. I got the result around 4:30pm. I called the spa right away to cancel the appt & was told I would lose my voucher & could not reschedule because I did not give a 24hour notice. What? I am giving you at 23.5 hour notice. On top of that I have strep throat, & a fever. I was astounded! The manager whose name starts with a "B" was completely rude & unforgiving. On my way home I thought about how she must have misunderstood, this was ridiculous, so I tried calling her again. She explained that I did not give a 24hour notice so there was nothing she could do. She flat out said at one point "do you know how long people wait to get in this place? We have a waiting list a mile long" I said "GREAT! Then it will not be a problem getting someone to take my spot, so I can reschedule & you want loose the spot" She said "I don't have time to call people on the wait list!" We even offered to call people on the list for her. It had digressed to a LOL situation.

Finally she agreed that if someone called for a last min appointment that she would put them in my slot & still let me use my voucher. The next day we called around 12pm to see if anyone had called. And she said no. So I told her that was fine, I would come in. Then the manager told me I wasn't allowed, because I had informed her I had strep. At this point I thought I was in the twilight zone! What was happening?

A couple weeks later I was called by another manager, who asked me what happened & apologized. She asked me to please come in to the office because the owner/chiropractor would like to speak to me. However when I got there, it was clear that was not the case. He seemed agitated right from the start at my presence. He said that he would honor my voucher and I was welcome to come back, and that he has always had problems with the manager that was so rude to me. So much so, he has moved her to another clinic. He then proceeded to tell me that she even challenges him on a regular basis. At that point I knew that I was going nowhere. No business owner in their right mind would EVER let someone treat their customers the way she treated me, and definitely not tolerate the manager being disrespectful to them.

He asked me what I would like to see come from this. I said I would like a written apology. He said that she wouldn’t do that. I said, I am aware of that, but you can tell her to or leave. I wanted the woman to experience a little humility. A dose of medicine she is in desperate need of. I told him I would wait for one before I wrote a negative review. 4-5 months later and I still do not have it. How sad.

The other manager insisted I come back to experience the spa. I will be brief here. The carpet is old & shaggy. The place is old & dingy. The facial technician used a stainless steel mixing bowl for the water & went into the pedicure room & used an old sink that looks like it was from the 40’s. The same one the pedicurist used to clean utensils in. And did it right in front of everyone in the waiting room. GROSS! Half way thru the facial she apologized for how unprofessional everything was, & I had not even said a word. She was almost in tears & talked about how awful it was to work there. LOL! I could not believe it! Was I there to relax or to council? The rest of it was all the same, do I even need to explain the rest. I could not wait to get out of there.

Would not recommend!. I have been to this spa 4 times now and had a good experience but my most recent visit was vastly different. I went there as part of the livingsocial deal with the chiropractic consultation. My "consultation" lasted all of 30 seconds! The guy that did my massage was the most cold, impersonable person I have ever met. In fact, as I was leaving, I heard the front desk girl talking on the phone to someone that was complaining loudly and saying he was going to contact his lawyer. I don't know what he was accusing them of but this was a total disappointment and waste of money, even at the discounted rate. I have a serious spine problem and had they even tried to investigate and give me feedback, they might have gained a chiro patient. I am forecasting that their previous high ratings in Cary will drop quickly
