Over-Rated; Over-Priced. We were there for a birthday dinner recently. Despite the not so good sanitation rating, the place is extremely small. It is so small that the waiter kept coming out of the kitchen and bumping into a guest seated at our table. However, the staff was nice and friendly. They add a nice French flair to the dining experience by giving you palet cleaning sorbet and a bite of a quiche appetizer. Some of the dishes were good (Flounder), some were not. They definitely do not cook the duck dish properly (the real French way). It is expensive for the small portion sizes and lack of good ambience. They constantly serve you bread for you to fill up on. You can hear every conversation in the restaurant and it looks a bit dated. This is not France where the costs of eating are higher. I would not return.

Fantastic Food. I have a lot of dining experience and I have only positive things to say about this restaurant. The service was excellent and the food was super. The bleu cheese mousse appetizer was so original and the french onion soup was first rate. I had duck L'orange which was perfect and my husband had the filet of beef Normadie which was rich and delicious. Even the dessert was excellent, chocolate in puff pastry and orange cream. I reccomend this restaurant to anyone.

Best French Food. We dined with another couple last night at St. Jacques, and it was beyond excellent. The service was great, the food superb, from the wonderful appetizers, soup, entre and dessert. We didn't know what to expect as none of us had been there before, and what a wonderful surprise! Lil Lacassagne greeted us as we entered and stopped by our table throughout our dinner with helpful hints, recipes and explanations of how the different meals were prepared. This made the evening even better. We usually never order dessert, but since everything we had was so delicious, we couldn't resist trying trying something. Our waitress was a delight throught the evening as well. I just wish we could go there weekly, but my waistline would rebell sooner than later.
