Really not worth going to anymore

I have had some great experiences at Blo, but they were all with Rachel. She is an amazing hair stylist and know what she is doing! On the other hand, I got a cut from Bryan and he is horrible! He is very arrogant and thinks he KNOWS what everyone will like. As he is cutting, he does not stop to ask you if you will like a certain cut or not. He just ASSUMES you will like it and be okay with it. In addition, he has all this "theories" of how hair should be cut, but that does not apply to EVERYONE since some people's hair is fine, some thick, everyone has a different face sturcture etc...So he does not take any of that into account and RUINED my hair completely! Made it SO SO short, unmanagable and just thinned it out!! I hate it and cried my eyes out for 2 days! I will follow Rachel to Bottega Salon in raleigh where she is at....

Fabulous Hair Salon

This is my second visit to Blo salon and wow, Alexis is fabulous. She makes you feel comfortable like an old friend and has a genuine interest in helping create the style you want, even if you not sure what that style is, as in mine case. Alexis, cut and styled my hair with such precision, the different was unbelievable, she had taken off 10years , she gave me a new updated style, which I love and can style myself which is important to me. I am extremely please with my style, and recommend Blo’s to all who have not had the opportunity to visit this great hair salon, did I forget to mention the wine is good too.

Impressive!

I have been to a LOT of salons in the past. I have seen the great, the good, and the not-so-good. I have only been moved to write a review one time, and that was for a salon that disappointed me beyond belief. Today, I'm happy to be writing a review for a salon that not only met, but far exceeded my expectations.

Blo at Brier Creek was an amazing experience. From the second I walked in, I knew I was in an extremely professional environment. The lady at the front desk was attentive, friendly, and polite. I waited maybe 2 minutes before my stylist, Alysia, came to meet me. She sat me down and asked me about my color, cut, and style goals. She listened intently, double checked with me for understanding, and made suggestions based on my unique hair condition.

When we got to the color table, I witnessed something I had never seen before. Before applying color, she consulted with one of her colleagues to make sure she was using the best color for my hair. They spent a good 5 minutes together, talking with me and each other making sure they were doing the best thing for my hair. I really was impressed with Alysia's care for me and also with the teamwork that so obviously occurs at Blo. (No catty attitudes here...and believe me, I've seen those at other salons!)

After my coloring, I got the nicest head/scalp massage while my hair was washed. Before cutting, Alysia double checked with me about how much hair I wanted cut. She followed my lead, but then checked with me and used her own professional knowledge and creativity to shape my hair in a way that would be more flattering for my face and easy to style. The end result: I walked out with amazing new color and a great haircut and style. I was complimented by several of the other stylists and the lady at the front desk before leaving. The compliments continued outside of the salon for the rest of the day. This morning, after my first wash and styling at home, it looks and feels just as great! It's nice to get a haircut and style that actually can be reproduced at home!

Oh - and I must mention another thing that has never, ever happened at a salon before. Alysia told me not once, but twice, to please feel comfortable calling her if I have any concerns or problems. She explained that lighting can be different in different places, so if I got home (or anywhere else) and the color or cut didn't meet my expectations, she really would like for me to call and come back in so that she could have the opportunity to fix it. These were not just words, either. I could tell that she genuinely meant it. I am happy to say that I have no need to call, but it was really refreshing to see how intent she was on making sure I was satisfied. Needless to say, I have found my "salon home". Blo in Brier Creek is pure salon excellence!
